Hakan Thread: I love my daughters, they are so pretty!

I do like that FA-> ultra 2 works, even though it’s scaled heavily. Just the fact he slides THAT much during focus while oily really proves a threat to fireball users. coward crouch + 360k should work well too since it has nice range on it non-oiled and oiled.

I’m in the camp that he looks great. His normals are the number 1 thing that appeal to me. Strong normals are the foundation for a strong character. He really looks like he fits my personal playstyle well of strong normals and a command grab for mix up. (2 at that) I cannot wait to hit training and put these beast to work. Once you get your spacing down with this bad boy…look out.

the thing i love about hakan is how he’s a priorities character, and how you either choose between maintaining position with a weaker version of the character or you can oil up but surrender pressure, each being preferable dependent on situation. personally, i love the idea of hakan’s grab loop, it will be very effective against characters that can zone hakan well, and also those without reliable ways to deal with it. definitely looking forward to how other people use this guy, one of my favorite character ideas of all time

this so called “grab loop” seems for me noting else then Zangiefs Greenhand after SPD^^but still good to know he hase something similar!

i watched all standing normals so faar his kicks seems pretty “short” (unoiled!!) i hope its just imagination… his standing Firce looks pretty decent and also a possible Antiair!

Antiair here Hakan gets some problems… unoiled i dont see any good Antiairs except possible the BACKDASH+Jumpgrab! // Ultra

and his “lay down ultra” seems pretty strong but does not do much damage…

im happy if he is balanced (every matchup betwean 4:6 and 6:4 thats all what im asking for pray

EX oil => sliding forwards FA + taking 1 fireball hit => FA3 crumple will own fireballers

the damage of the grabs seams a bit low hopefully he is still “competetiv unoiled”

Seth has said Oil Combination Hold is an anti-air Ultra but I think it’s a bit more than that. There must be a certain height off the ground where it catches people, also been said that it catches people walking into it as well so those normals and specials with forward movement would get eaten for breakfast :bgrin: Wonder if it’d catch Tatsu and Tiger Knee, hmm~…

I have to imagine that oiled up Hakan is going to have some very strong kara-cancels for some of his moves. Oiled up, which already improves Hakans dash, I’m thinking that a karaFADC, hold forward during the FA to eke out a little more distance, through fireballs could cover a surprising amount of ground quickly. Likewise I imagine Hakan having a very strong kara throw oiled up. Can you kara command grabs? If so, the range would be staggering.

I must say when i first saw hakan i was actually disgusted, but upon further inspection i really like a lot of his mechanics and he looks like he could be an interesting character. And his “counter” ultra sounds very interesting, i honestly don’t get why capcom didn’t make all the counter ultra’s in super like his.

double focus into U2 made me happy

and he can do Focus Level3-Focus Level1/2 AnitAir Ultra (since the enemy is in Crumble staate) but i honestly dont think its a good idee anyway since FA counts as 2 hits in the damage Reduce section and so it will reduce the Ultra damage from 80% to 60%

HAKAN :

-Mon dieu ce perso ! C’est un pure choppeur avec une glissade.

-Ca glissade a un OTG en appuyant sur P aprs avoir touch ( mais ya aucun timing particulier a avoir, tu smash P et il t’crase )

-Y a AUCUN intrt a pas etre huil avec lui. quand il est huil, on peut diriger ca saving, on a plus de link, on choppe de plus loin ( mais quand je dit plus loin c’est abus, c’est comme si il faisait un kara TU mais avec un choppe a la place du TU ).

-Il a normment de commande attack, notamment un av+HP suprme. imaginer le saut HP de Honda mais au sol (!!!). Et quand t’es huile le coup va super super loin. le meilleur coup de zoning du jeu a coup sur.

-IL a un saut, c’est pas un saut XD. c’est un short HOP de kof serieux. pour vous dire, T.Hawk passe par dessus hakan si vous faite sauter les 2 en meme temps au corps a corps.

-Sont U2 est ULTIME ! mais mon dieu cette ultra. comment vous dire. c’est l’anti air PARFAIT. c’est bien simple des que hakan a l’ultra, c’est FINI. Tu dcole plus les pied du sol, c’est du suicide. que t’essaye n’importe quoi : cross, empty jump , dive kick,… Ds que tu touche UN PIXEL de son corps sans que tes pied ne touche le sol, TES DEDANT. Rolling de blanka, dosukoi de honda, condor spire de hawk…etc…etc…etc. En plus l’ultra reste active ultra longtemps, donc ca puni les dragon dans la garde a la retomb, enfin tout quoi. Franchement ya un avant et un apres l’ultra2 de hakan. tu peut plus jouer pareil. Et puis qu’il soit huil ou non, elle a les meme proprit l’ultra. C’est fou, ya des fois tu te dit “non mais c’est pas possible je glisse la ?!?”. Enfin bref, l’autre ultra en comparaison c’est d’la merde c’est sure. c’est trop contraignant pour l’adversaire l’U2 de hakan.

-T’en que t’es pas huil, hakan a du mal quand meme. tu passe ton temps a essayer de te huiler. il faut sans arret pens a ca. la manip de l’huilage c’est un dragon kick. plus tu utilise un gros kick plus l’anim dur longtemps plus l’huilage dure longtemps. en EX ca met le meme temps pour se huil que le HK, mais ca dure encore plus longtemps. Y a que 2 niveau de huilage. soit t’es huil soit tu l’es pas ( c’est pas guilty SFIV ^^ ).

-Voila je sais pas trop quoi dire d’autre, le perso m’a bien plus, je l’ai pas mal affront durant la session, franchement il est simpa meme s’il ressemble a rien ^^. je passe au dfie. je vous conseil de tout faire huil, c’est plus simple, voir faisable uniquement comme ca.

Don’t have time to translate the rest for you guys right now, but the combo part is pretty well understandable anyway. SA is focus, bas is low, av is toward/forward, saut is jump.

OK, so toward+MP and down+MK are cancelable, that’s good. Looking forward to doing those normals buffer qcf+p for slide or qcb+k for oil in footsies and normal xx qcb+k to keep my oil while pressuring! I actually think it’s good that nomrals requiring toward and down are the cancelable ones, since that makes walking around with them and buffering a qcf motion within them even easier.

If you can do focus to focus then u2, I wonder if you can do focus to oil then command grab or slide (to make your command grab or whatever do more damage)?

Stoked that jump mp juggles and that you can combo it to slide and ultra.

That’s great also that u2 is the better ultra. His super already seems like a sweet grab, so it would be too bad if his grab ultra were the better one. His bono sounds really useful. Anyone know if the super can be jumped out of by the opponent on reaction?

This guy doesn’t mention regular stand hp as cancelable even though it’s 2 hits. Hope that’s just an oversight heh, that thing better work in combos!
