I think it was a sarcastic post, given that there is quite clearly a bear fighting a ridiculously dressed woman with pink hair.
after seeing that seth k vid i think hakan will be high-mid or top tier(not that tiers mean anything)
Forgive me if this is stupid shit (or pointed out already) but his Oil Combination Hold Ultra is D D D+KKK, right? If I understood how “input shortcuts” work, e.g. DF counting as both D and F or something, does that mean you could do DB D DB+KKK to get the Ultra out quickly? Sounds pretty sexy if that’s possible :bgrin:
Shortcuts are BAD :nono:. I mean down 3 times is easy as shit just figure your t-bagging them, then actually t-bag them with the ultra :bgrin:
Probably not, because that would mean df, d, db would also work.
DB DB DB is almost bound to work though, isn’t it? If that’s the case, I foresee a ton of people accidentally getting EX Oil Up instead of Oil Combination Hold.
:party:EX Oil Up is the new Teleport!
So, when Oiled up, Hakan becomes extremely beastly, correct? If this is so, will this make him top tier?
go to the main srk page and look at the s-kill demo of hakan…that is why i think he will be a beast
when Oiled up, Hakan becomes extremely greasly
these are the videos MixupMaster’s referring to
ReyArt ty btw
The best way to do it is probably “D, DB, D, DB, D+KKK”
Dear God, you’re probably right :looney:

Hmm~ If DF D DF can be F D DF, and F DF F can also be F D DF then what’s stopping DB F DF being D D D? What am I missing? :looney:
Because they have to remove it, otherwise it will come out too easy. Sonic boom and similar moves can only be activated by pressing forward btw, not UF or DF.
its depends on if they make the inputs “lenient” or not. If they are then any down (db, d, df) will count as a down. If they are not lenient then only d will work.
That’s a point, so at the very least you have to “end” on D? DB D DF D DB+KKK could possibly work since we have not just 3 but 4 Down inputs including the “final” D, that’d still be easy to do and from crouch blocking position possibly easier than trying to hit D 3 separate times (D N D N D)…
Oh snap, forgot it’s not “on” for everything I know DDD is pretty easy but DB to DF to DB seems even easier to me, if that’s possible then hot damn gravy sauce
So what do you guys think of Oil Dive? I’m trying to see some uses to it, but aside from a long range anti-air, I’m not seeing too much. Thoughts?
In my earlier move analysis post, I’m thinking that you can use it with Guard Crouch setups. the basic theory I’m going with is that you use the Guard Crouch, then cancel into Oil Rocket if you expect them to block low, or Oil Dive if you expect them to jump away. It’s sort of like Abel mixups with either TT or FS, except that Oil Dive will grab standing and jumping chars. Not just jumpers like FS.
Interesting. Could Abel grab people trying to jump past him with FS or did that only catch people who jumped back?
Abel’s FS will catch jumpers period. However, if they stay on the ground it’s a complete whiff. I almost never FS unless I know they are prone to jumping. This is why I’m more about Oil Dive than FS, oil dive will catch them so long as they don’t crouch, AND will catch jumpers.
This doesn’t even take into account possible EX properties. If it has invincibility or armor on EX, then I’d Oil Dive right through some projectile spam and corner my opponent for free
I wrote a long post in your gamefaqs thread. Well, it was not yours, but you know what I mean.
also i think it technically would be a flambe.
to deep fry him he would need to be dipped into a large vat of oil and have dahlsim continuosly yoga-heat the pot/vat.
