That jumping grab move looks like its crouchable and the super is confirmed to be crouchable as well. To say the least I’m fairly interested in his game mechanics. If his normals are good and his defensive options are good I would consider having him as an alternate. Nothing stopping me from maining Juri cause we all know she’ll be broke tier.
So far… his defensive options are just as good as Abel’s or El Fuerte’s…

Hakan will have problems if the momentum is shifted against him. Go play El Fuerte or Abel online, and have your opponent knock you down and rush you down in the corner. Try to get out. That’s what playing Hakan will probably be like.

Ok I got a question, after he uses the bearhug-type grab(not the oil coaster) that shoots them in the air, is it always at an angle? Or can what button you press determine where they go? Like Light version would shoot them straight up allowing you to crossup afterwards, the medium version is slightly angled and the heavy version sends them at a 45 degree angle?

The angle is determined by button strength, yes.
Ugh. Don’t remind me. El Fuerte vs Akuma is never any fun for Elf. All that pressure + all that teleport? Good Bison can be annoying too. Maybe EX oil-launch-into-the-ceiling grab has some i-frames so we can get people out of our faces? Or maybe we’d need oil for that.

Cool thanks, I got one more, the sliding move he does, after he knocks them down you can follow it up with a splash can you do that without the move crossing them up? Like say you slide at the almost max range of the move, and it knocks your opponent down but doesn’t crossup, can you still follow it up with a splash?
