Hmmm…Hakan is starting to sound really interesting. I personally don’t mind weird/outlandish characters in fighting games as long as they seem powerful and Hakan seems that way. His intro was exactly like I imagined it would be. I’m also really liking the sound of him. Oiling himself up completely changes his play style and move set to a non grappler type. Almost like how Vanessa had a Vale Tudo/Kickboxing style in VF. Sounds really fun. Hopefully all of his normals won’t suck ass minus one or 2 like Gen’s did in SFIV.

I just saw a few vids on Hakan’s gameplay and the more I see him in action, the more I’m starting to warm up to him. I wonder if many giefer users will make the switch?
I also noticed that Hakan’s “Trap” / counter can be done against an opponent even if they are standing

From the footage i’ve seen so far seems like Hakan builds up super meter really quickly. I mean in each video he has super meter. That’s crazy good.
I gotta say that I’m weirded out by him, but he is good for a laugh, now I’m interested to see how he plays…
He looks like a lot of fun to play, and the idea of the oil benefits intrigues me enough that I want to use him first when I get the game in my hands, that and I fucking love fighting game grapplers. Here is hoping the lack of any defining anti-air’s won’t be the death of him, one reason I want to take Ultra II until I see how well his air grab works.
Any story information on him? I am wondering if he is still Seth’s other agent or not, he doesn’t have the magic eye and his family man persona contradicts working for an evil corporation.

From this point on, when referring an Ultra with Hakan, they shall be known as “Olitra” and the oil is “kara oil”. I’m loving this guy every minute, he seems like pure shenanigans especially with oil. And his oiltras are frikign hilarious.

You can, Emper0r_C0w said this, and he was right about some other stuff. Well, he said Hakan had a hold-type grab, kinda like Juris fireball, but I bet this is what he meant.
Sounds an awful lot like El Fuerte’s story (and DeeJay’s too I guess), bit of a cop out but eh, who cares?
