Is Hakan the nly character who can hit opponents when they’re down, with at body splash? was the splash part of his rushing attack? Dammit I’m so hyped to play him!
The splash is part of his Oil slide yeah.
It’s looking like his Darkstalkers pursuit attack only works after the slide. It’s basically a followup to the special.
Oil slide. Oil Dive is the Jump command grab that the super is based on.

He’s got that “Blanka Fear Crouch” thing, so I’m wondering if when he’s oiled up and does that, if it’ll work as an anti air similar to his Ultra. Like if they touch you (jump in) it would make them slip and be a knockdown.
That’d be good shit, and I can imagine that being something that people didn’t necessarily try to do.
It’s not that I hate the character, I think his concept is great. It’s just Ono seems to have run out of ideas, the ultras are just plain stupid, his moves are all borrowed from other characters, the only thing original about him is that he needs to oil up for certain moves.
I pretty sure once people are able to start timing his oil dive it’ll be a decent AA, this all depends on how the motion is done of course. And i’m pretty sure that they said that if he has oil on him his Oil Slide will follow up with a splash if you hit punch/kick, no oil no splash

I’m curious as to whether his Ultra 2 has any applications other than AA. It’s been said they have to touch him, so I wonder if that mean that you can do Focus crumple -> dash forward wait until they’re on they’re knees -> Ultra 2 so that they fall on him?

Match starts at 0:49, and like 10 seconds in, he does it, and he never does Oil Shower before that.
if you watched the hakan vs juri vid, hakan is right next to juri and does ultra 2 and somehow it caught juri. it almost acted like it was ultra 1. that move must have a big hitbox
But he does the slide again later and doesnt go for the follow up. The first unoiled slide was counter hit, so maybe that was it? I doubt it though, he probably just screwed up the input or something.
