This is why the concept of ‘tiers’ is controversial, it’s because it takes a lot of time and expertise for the tiers to become established.

I think he is top tier means based on what he has seen he is guessing him to be top tier. Your absolutely correct, it takes a lot time for tier lists to become established. They start with what they know. Albeit we know little to nothing at the moment but speculation due to excitement is hardly insult worthy behavior.
I also hope she will be, but regardless I am maining her. I loved Makoto in 3S, her style is great. They seemed to have captured that, although she seems to be missing some rather important tools. We’ll see what she has gained otherwise.
As far as Hakkan goes, I don’t mind him or his zaniness. I will definitely give him a spin. Even if the worst case is true regarding his tier level. It’s what I call the Kuma factor. Kuma sucked in tekken so you picked him just so you had something extra to brag about.

I’d love to be able to say the same, but I was very upset with how they brought Sakura into IV. She lost her crossup forward, strangle throw, reliable old dp bread n butter, her close fierce of doom, and general power/stamina levels. REALLY hoping they don’t do the same to Makoto. If Mak has sucky stamina I’d even go as far as accusing DIMPS or whoever designed the chars stats of being chauvinistic.

Opinions about what the tier list is going to be like is perfectly fine, but when you start saying that Makoto is going to be confirmed to be top tier, you are saying that it is going to be a 100% fact, and with the game not released to the public, or have been played competitively at all yet, you simply cannot confirm shit.

There has been no real word on Mak’s stamina unfortunately : ( Though they are saying she is missing a lot of her more nuanced 3S abilities. Kara Karakusa doesn’t seem to be in, or at least isn’t done with her S. LK anymore. Hayate > Karakusa seems to be out, or at least really strict timing. Conflicting reports with one saying they couldn’t do it and another saying the did it a few times but don’t know the whys or hows. Sakuras implementation was pretty shit : ( At least she got her cross up back.
Oh and saying someone IS confirmed I will agree with you on. That is spreading misinformation and that I am not cool with. The Dude will not abide. Especially when her “confirmation” was an ambiguous reference to 2 of the 3 Thrid strike characters who were THOUGHT to be top tier as mentioned by Keno I believe.
