Hakan’s pretty popular it seems, I’m not interested in playing him but hot damn I really want to see what a pro Hakan can do, I’ll be looking up Hakan videos on the replay channel that’s for sure

And Capcom just can’t stop with the tornadoes, hurricanes, and other swirly moves. Seriously, look at how many of the new moves involves characters spinning around or getting spun around.
Most WTF trailer for the SF game, ever. And just because a character has some (or entirely consists of) goofy moves, doesn’t make them a joke character, which is usually tied to bottom feeding tier.
For some reason, I’m really looking forward to seeing Seth’s win quote against Hakan.

trap ultra looks far too easy to land not to use it.
I would not use that one vs Dhalsim, though. Too floaty, and has that air teleport.

Well may have not the most pro Hakkan player around (to be fair there likely isn’t one outside of capcom at the moment) but it looks like he is going to get zoned easy. Dhalsim, Seth and Akuma are probably very hard match ups.
I think he will have it better than Zangief when it comes to zoning, he seems to have a lot of tools to move forward.
Despite his comedic appearance, I think Hakan looks pretty dangerous.
Ultra II activates just by touching him? I’ll be too afraid to fucking move at all if he’s got that Ultra stored up!
That is true, his slide is pretty good it seems. Though his need to oil could prove fatal to those who can close from anywhere on the board. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.
To be honest I hope he ends up at least mid tier if not higher. I think his hijinks are funny.
Yeah. Seems like Balrog will be a difficult match for him. Almost all the charge characters will probably be tough.
as a dictator main i’m actually looking forward to losing to him. i dont see how you could get mad at the guy, he just seems so lovable.
Yeah. From the descriptions, I thought I was going to hate this character. But he’s so ridiculous and so over-the-top, I can’t help but love him.

I wish someone would use hakan’s oil up and see if he can be grabbed…
as anyone with can clearly see that’s not Hakan’s Final Build so we can expect some changes
Trap Ultra looks very useful, but if the ONLY way to land it is to have someone jump on you, I can see it being easy to bait out by people with air Tatsus, divekicks and, well, any move that lets you change your midair trajectory. So yeah, more useful still if it can be juggled into.
How many people here were saying “We’ve got the 3rd Strike characters now. Who gives a fuck about Hakan?”

I am really excited about playing Hakan, I would like to thank capcom for keeping the Street Fighter Series Fresh and Fun.
Ditto, when I first heard about him I thought it was the stupidest idea ever. But now, every time I watch that trailer I like him more and more, he’s growing on me. Who knows, if I get along with his play style I might end up playing him as one of my many secondary characters
