Not sure how fast cr. lk is when oiled, I know it’s 4 frame startup and 15 frames total when not oiled. But yeah, it’s great. Too bad it doesn’t cancel into anything.
Crisco v dnc slide is just a matter of the extra damage you get from the crisco’d move. If you don’t need that extra damage and/or don’t have the extra meter, then just doing dnc slide should be fine.
yea i need a good answer on this as well. I’ll finally get the game later today, but I played Hakan briefly a few days ago and I was getting jabbed outta EX 360+P like crazy.
I dunno guys, I set the dummy to do meaty sweep on Hakan, and while the regular 360ps all got stuffed, the ex version beat it both regular and oiled. Seems hit-invincible to me.
Oil in most cases just gives him more range on his attacks including oil rocket. I honestly dont think it has any invincibility frames may be better off trying to get up and ex sliding in some cases im not sure.
Ex slide has invincibility only at first, it wears off before the move actually starts hitting, so it still gets stuffed by meaty attacks. That little bit of invincibility is good for going under fireballs (when oiled, anyway, since oiled ex slide goes about twice the distance as regular), but it’s not good as a wakeup attack.
Set ryu up to jab and kick in the corner was trying it on wake ups and everything it got stuffed now realistically guy probably wont be just mashing jab i think the move seems overall quicker so might sneak in between attacks.
ex slide is depressing. I either run out of oil and come up short and eat hell, just get hit and eat hell anyways, or hit and dont follow up with a body press.
On a side note I was pressuring a Ken when I had no health, and on his wakeup I figured he go for U2. haha, coward crouch goes right under it.
I tried it last sec on a couple other ultras and its surprising how effective this is. I think we need to start thinking how to incorporate it against stuff other than fireballs.
My only guess is that it maybe due to distance, because I was definitely getting cr.jabbed (by Dudley) out of his non-oiled EX 360+P. Perhaps I was simply too far away, since his unoild grab has shit range? That’s all I can think of. I know I was using EX grab because I was burning meter.
So… command normals. I only got a brief period of time to play after getting it last night, but…
>l.p- links after normal l.p, ???
>m.p- hit confirm-able cancel into slide, AA?
>h.p- slides forward, good damage
>df.hp- sick range (dash canceled into while oiled is practically full screen pressure), does this also AA?
>l.k- links after lp/lk, ??
>m.k- ?
>h.k- awesomesauce knockdowntastic
any corrections or comments welcome. It seems to me like >lp >lk >mk and >hp seem rather worthless? Maybe they have unique hit properties or different priority that I’m not aware of?
mk seems pretty worthless to me, but hp is most definitely not. You can use it as anti air and it works pretty well, the damage and stun on it are also very good.
i test to punsh hakan out of ex360:p: and it worked if it has invul frames they are pretty low maybe only 2 frames of 3 becouse it was stuffed clean
but ultra david is right it catchs in some situations where the normal one would not…
strange in every way!
the coward crouch is something totaly diffrent its just awsome good i asked in a other thread but maybe someone here knows it too is Blankas crouch as good as?
Blanka was able to cancel the Coward Crouch -> Vertical Ball, Electricity (Only ones I recall ever using). Hakan is not able to cancel into Oil Rocket (SPD), from what I’ve tested so far. I was hopeful that I would be able to coward crouch near someone, while oiled, then cancel into SPD if they were to Fireball at an unsafe range.
I have also found a Oil Dive (360+K) set-up which seems pretty promising if executed properly. Will share after I land it on more than only my room mates with their mains.
