oh here’s a neat tidbit: as you know, you get a damage bonus for performing your ultra’s when oiled up, but you only need to be oiled when starting the ultra, and the entire move gets the damage bonus.

360k is a punisher for jumpaways-close but it does not punish the jumpaways on startjumping instead it punishs it on toparc of the jump (ryu) or landing (honda) so you REALY need to CHARGE it for quite a bit if you guess a jumpaway on reaktion would altou possible but you need to charge it

did anybody tested to see how good is his air throw?

His air throw is okay, but it’s not like Guile’s where he can perform it as soon as he leaves the ground.

Can anyone check the usefulness of whiffing Hakan’s slide on opponent’s wakeup?

Any news on his focus attack? Neutral frames on block or just hit?

Is there any reason to pick air throw over air to air jump strong? You can just slide, follow up, then safe short oil afterward. I suppose it’s the option between setting up for safe jump or oiling up but oiling up very obviously seems like the better option.

today i watched something realy strange! i was experimenting with is antiairs (right he got plenty of antiairs!) i found out that in certain range certain normals works well as antiairs (mostly his moves with forward movement since it moves him under his opponent its more like dalsim certain carakters need certain moves as anti air his goodlike f+HP works realy well on some jumpins and then its totaaly difrent oiled this charakter is definitiv nothing for beginners even if he had no combos^

then i tryed if its possible to follow up with a slide

it did certainly NOT COMBO but on a trade it was sometimes possible to slide the enemy down EVEN WHEN I RECORDED BACKDOWN so it was impossible to block after some trades but it doesnt count as combo

im not soo good with the KaraStuff it would be a realy good help if Hakan has a KaraThrow can someone test this? since his normal throw unoiled is much better then the 360p!

So let me get this straight, his 360P (Oil Rocket?) is 3 frames, right? Does it win or lose to regular throws when activated at the same time?

it lose ā€œrangewiseā€ normal throw has more range unoiled! and it loos inputwise itake more time to enter 360+p instead of p+k except you can buffer it!

Ah, I gotcha, thanks for the clarification. I’m guessing it beats regular throws, which would be it’s only saving grace, that and you can’t tech it.

I was just thinking about kara cancels for Hakan a few minutes ago. Later on in the day I’ll see if I get chance to find if Hakan can kara with towards strong or roundhouse.

try strong roundhouse and firce towards! :slight_smile: and standing roundhouse and crouching firce and last but not least f-+lp;)

Richard ā€œpro-killerā€ Nguyen found some new shit with Hakan. While oiled up, Hakan can cancel the dash into a normal or a special. So essentially you could do an oil cannon from 60% of the screen away from your opponent. He also found a few other things that I will be posting in the moveset and attributes forum.

Is he saying anti-air f+HP (trade) --> Oil Slide is a possible OTG (or unblockable)?

My only is guess that maybe the slide is crossing them up, so that’s why it isn’t being blocked when he held downback.

Would be very interesting if the slide can crossup after resets. What happens when Hakan uses the slide on people that are already knocked down? Does he pass through them, or stop in front?

Yeah, Gaoser, Wiz was talking about that a couple weeks ago. It’s one of the things I wanted people to test out in the first post here! It sounds really interesting.

I’m not making fun of you Reaper, I’m just very interested in the possibility of slide being unblockable there. I think it crossing up is probably more likely. Meaty crossup slide is another thing I wanted people to test.

AH i get it THAT must be the point! thats DISCUSTING GOOD;) your must be right it must be a crossup and thats why it didnt count as combo and dont worked everytime thats awsome :wink: he is realy a interesting charakter and dmn i realy realy like to play him even when he isnt as good as zangief as long as he had not such terrible matchups

im pretty sure it can crossup on the ground too that would else be totaly against logic if its possible in the air**<-- can not crossuped!!**

i just tested it it doesent work on the ground it just move the opponent a bit backward g sadly

AND OH MY GOOD LORD i just tested his dash it can realy be canceld with EVERY normal (oiled) its defastating with F+MP or F+c.MK into slide but backdash can not be canceld sadly^ and specials can althou NOT CANCEL the Dash (tested and aproved thats just a rumor)
