Hakan + Combos = Hakanbos!

@ jalapNo: As awesome as that combo may look in-game, I can’t approve of using 2 bars of meter simply to do only 20 extra damage.

A good combo to use is st.lp x3 > st.mp.

From here, you can poke him (which is in optimal max range and advantage) st.hp or when you’re oiled, forward dash HP-360.

Hakan players aren’t known for their execution, but this is something worth learning.

Iv been using the st.mp x 2 on counterhit combo that someone recently posted, it’s really good, as now i’m always throwing it out twice, just incase :stuck_out_tongue:

The combo into a dash-in 360 will do 258 + 200 (458) and the x2 st.lp > st.mp to a st.hp will do 238 + 120 (358, but the st.hp should often cause a counter-hit).

That does look confusing now that I look back on it.

The combo st.LK, st.MP, st.LP, st.MP (all links) will do 290 damage. If you are oiled, you can follow that up with a dash-in HP Oil Rocket. That will add 200 damage. That will total up to 490 damage.

lol no its not its canceling a Focus atack after the atack with a dash into a normal for a combo,… OMG and its pretty useless since you can not hit confirm it either way…

The option selects for Hakan are situational, but the one I do the most is (after HP-Slide and st.MP whiff safe-jump) early j.HK, OS LK Dive. It’s kinda like “cancelling” the j.HK with a LK Dive, but the timing is a little later than that. When you land, you do st.LK x3 or whatever.

This will catch backdashes and quickly catch reverals (because the reversal will cause the j.HK to land on the other side, making the OS LK Dive come out). Note which character you’re doing this with. This is best vs. characters like Ryu, Balrog, Cody, Dhalsim, and a few others.

It took me a while to perfect it. Take it to the training room and see how the basic OS works. When you get the concept of Hakan’s OS, try it out by making Hakan P2 in training and record him using your OS.

EDIT: I found a decent combo, dunno if it’s been put up yet. Regularly when I’m oiled I do a J MK or HK into C. LK x3 or x4 (depending on the opponent). But if any of my LK’s are blocked you can follow up after with a 360 LP grab. It’s not technically a ‘combo’, it’s more-so like when Giefs S LP is blocked, he can do a grab after it. Sorry if this has already been posted.

But to those wondering what I mean, if my C LK is blocked, you do the 360 LP a split second after when you’d technically do your next C. LK in the combo. If you do it too early you’ll stand there and nothing will happen. Once you get the timing down it’s pretty fun to do against people who block and don’t poke too often.

Man, these are the oily basics. It’s probably his best and easiest way to tick into his SPD. And you don’t even need to use the LP version, you can use any one. If you’re messing with that, then now you should practice SPDS from other normals, like st.lp, f.lk, st.lk, whatever. Try and become some sort of grab master, heh.

Yeah, the most effective combo you should start practicing now is j.HK, st.LK x3 (for most characters), cr.LP xx LK Oil Dive. Very awesome reset. HK Oil Dive vs. predicted jumps and backdashes, HP Slide vs. predicted jumps or normal mashes.

Training this in Super will only pay dividends for you in AE, with hit-confirmable slides now in the mix.

St.lp x2 cr…lp xx lp slide works as expected. Or from further away you can try 1 st.lp f+lk xx slide. New combos are nice, makes st.mp a lot better IMO.

Yeah, except the only way you can tick off two jabs into grab is if you are oil’d : / but you could probably do the oil follow up and be relatively okay, though its fucking hard to do for me off jab slide for some reason.
