In my opinion DLC is supposed to stuff that couldn’t be fit on the disk or was made later so its made for download later at a fee which i can live with.but all these characters fit on the disk before they finished so its kinda like wtf?and i’m not really feeling that its for convenience thing.i mean since when did capcom care about how much space takes up my HD?systems today can hold absurd amounts of data so i have a hard time buying that.just a way to make more money while trying to get people to buy a vita(which i will never buy)I rented umvc3 because i didn’t want to support it after the vanilla fall out.and im renting sf.xt because im on the fence about it.if not earlier then by the release of the 12 unlocked characters ill probably just send it back and be done with it completely.would love to use Elena and lei.but I’m not dropping 20 dollars just to have them unlocked on my disk.if there already there then they should be unlockable content threw gameplay and not my wallet.I just feel like at some point there gonna start charging us for standard stuff like training mode

This goes on across the board though. When this gen came out, I looked at how games COULD have been. Halo and CoD could be offering new maps EACH MONTH. But instead, every single mother fucking thing is charged. There is no thanks for supporting a game, or a series. The best we got was shadow colours in Super. And no apologies for shadow battles in MvC3. We get 65% completed games, with the option to drop more $$$ later to get the full game, lest we be unable to play with other people.

I was hoping that’s what they would announce with SFxT. Then add an option to pay to unlock them for $20. Sure, it would have pissed me off, but would have been a better alternative to this shafting.

The best platform imo that knows how to keep their customers happy are smartphone games.
All the updates are free once you have purchased the game, and most of these are small time developers that aren’t greedy as fuck for money.

I like unlocking stuff…it gives me more to do outside of playing matches/going in the lab…its why i like SCV o_O it had other distractions…other people don’t like distractions…so people like me get less content and more bare bone fighting games…I can live with it though.

Yeah, that’s because smartphone games are mostly by indies. Indies in general are the best ones to support, not only do they appreciate your money but they offer innovative game design, where the big companies just play it safe.
