As I said before call of duty mods are done by modding profiles and games saves which is microsofts domain.
As far as they are concered its capcoms fault for leaving the game wide open and it will be down to capcom to fix the prolem not them.

The people who should be ashamed of themselves are the ones who are going to spend the next 8 months waiting with baited breath to give Capcom another $20 to unlock these characters. Capcom is like an abusive husband, and their rabid fanboys are like a battered housewife who refuses to kick him out.
The fact is, Capcom actively rewards people who hack their game while punishing the people who are going to blindly hand over a hundred bucks for the same content on the same disc. It’s so brazenly abusive that I can’t help but feel that the fans who are still going pay for this content deserve to pay whatever Capcom is asking, because they obviously have a lot more money than they do dignity or common sense.
So… if someone likes a character(s), or costume and decides to further their own enjoyment of a product they like by purchasing them they should be ashamed of themselves?
Yeah, I just don’t get it… Who are you to tell anyone what to do with the money they have? It’s a good thing your trying to preach ethics and economy on a VIDEO GAME forum and not tackling the important topics in life like oil or baby seals being clubbed.
people who bought the game are suckers, people who pay for the dlc are even bigger suckers.
if you bought the game at least hack the characters for fucks sake
People are free to spend their money however they want, but I’m also free to recognize their foolishness for what it is. If Capcom thinks that this game is worth $130, they should have the balls to charge $130 for it instead of hiding the price behind the false banner of “downloadable content.” If their fanboys really think Capcom’s games are worth that much, then they should have nothing to worry about-- otherwise, they should stop locking finished and perfectly playable content on the disc and demanding we pay more than the price of the game itself just to unlock the content that’s already availible.
I know that this is a big concept for their fanboys, but to the rest of the world this is not cool.
Umm the “foolish” people that bought the game paid for what Capcom advertised which was 38 characters and the modes presented. The 12 characters that got presented is a by product of the Vita version announcement. If there was never a Vita version, those characters would’ve been DLC down the line and no one would’ve said shit about it.
And also in your Utopia there are no diseases, death, homeless or hungry either I bet?
What is legit DLC then? Ever since we hit DLC in this generation of consoles no game has been worth it’s buying price of $60. Every piece of digital media you buy from xbox live/psn adds to the price of said game. And Capcom is the bad guy how?
Spoiler: sarcasm ahead
Oh that’s right, by producing a video game for mass consumption at a price… What was I thinking!!! You have been right all along! Burn in hell Capcom, you capitalistic pig! Where do I sign up for the lynch mob?
End sarcasm.
14 dlc characters have been unlocked not 12
I am really getting anoyed with people thinking I only got 12 extra characters when I have 14
And guess what? I didn’t buy it because the package Capcom is offering isn’t good enough for me, and I do not think I should have to pay an extra $46 to unlock all the characters and costumes. However, just because I choose not to further enable Capcom’s practices doesn’t mean you can’t if you think Capcom is good for conducting business this way, so by all means, give them as much money as you want.
Yet you spend time and energy in a forum, fighting, learning, reading and talking about this game you do not endorse and did not buy? I know people who have 0 interest in this game and are occupied elsewhere. Honestly- I would rather spend the $ or go elsewhere myself
I’m sure people would’ve figured out they were on the disc quickly like they did with Jill and Shuma on MvC3.
I don’t think they would’ve been on the disc. The way Capcom was talking during that interview about the DLC pricing for it it seemed like this would’ve been an AE situation.
Honestly, I couldn’t blame people for unlocking the content on their discs. Hell, even I would do it, since I feel entitled to everything on my disc. I wouldn’t play online though, since I’d rather avoid a ban, if it’s truly ban-worthy.
However, what I would do is at least make character guides/tutorials to try and bridge that gap between hackers and non-hackers in terms of knowledge and experience when it comes to the DLC characters. That way, at least more people have a good idea of what to expect when the characters are officially released, and aren’t left in the dark as much as they would have been without any guides. Too bad stuff like that would probably get taken off Youtube in a heartbeat otherwise, I’d go for it if I could. I know it wouldn’t help a whole lot, but it’s something.
AE is a good example. Before the disc copy, none of the content from the arcade version was on the disc, and had to be downloaded in order to access the update. The SSF4 Ultra Combo pack is another example; content additional to what’s on the disc. You had to buy the costumes or download the catalog otherwise you wouldn’t be able to see the costumes because they were not on the disc.
Elena and the others are already there with all their fixings along with all the gems, colors and costumes for every character. It’s only considered additional content because it isn’t included with what’s already available. Capcom isn’t the only one who does this, but that doesn’t make it less sleazy.
If it’s really Downloaded Content, then how do some players have access to it when it’s not available in the marketplace?
its on disc, fair game.
I get the concept here, really I do. However on the disc or not, the person who wants either is still paying for it… ( sans :hackers, aliens, pros, etc…).
I don’t get the argument of - its on the disk, I bought the disk, it’s mine. No, even though it is “on” your disk, it is locked and not accessible, for whatever reason. Now if Capcom chooses NOT to release it, no one gets it, if they DO choose to release it, it is a separate purchase in and of itself.
Also there has been a fiasco as of late as to wether or not downloaded content not on the disk will be able to still be accessed after the current gen’s online life cycle ends. So as long as those characters and items are on the disk they are yours forever, if they were downloaded from a server they would be gone.
Honestly the AE route is what they were probably gonna go for but like i said the Vita version messed that process up.
Not completely. I believe we the people who cried foul at having to purchase another disk (Super Street-Fighter 4, Ultimate MvC3). Caused them to put it on the current disk and created this monster.
Welp its official I guess:
If there is evidence of you using the hacked characters online, consider yourself down $60 from XBL. Have fun.
Nice. Turn the player base against each other in an effort to direct attention away from Capcom’s sleaziness. Meanwhile he completely avoids the issue of characters and content being already on the disc and just being held back until Capcom decides to charge customers for them. Bleh.
