Hacked DLC characters being used online, thoughts?

I don’t see how they would expect that to get people to buy the Vita version. I mean if someone already has the game, and then that DLC is released, wouldn’t they just buy that instead of buying the game a second time, for another platform, just to have the characters they could’ve had on the first platform. IMO no game has been good enough for me to buy it twice (Except maybe Mirrors Edge, that game was bitchin). Then again I stopped trying to understand Capcoms business methods awhile ago. In a nutshell:
I have game(A)
new version comes out game(B) and has more characters
i could buy vita and game(B) but i could just buy characters for game(A)
The difference?: A single metric fuck ton of my money.

EDIT: It was really hard for me to explain this thought process >.< It is more than likely confusing to anyone that isn’t me

Hopefully these hackers can find a way to get couch co-op on the xbox 360.

Capcom really can’t do shit about it.

I mean, they did purchase the 12 characters already. lol

Ok soo this is in response to those questioning capcom not releasing characters early…listen why would they do that if it’s really only a handfull of people actually online playing the game? You look on this thread and more people are debating about having/not having/when they should have than actually saying they have the dlc how many people are posting gameplay that are members of the SRK forums? Exactly like what 3? More people are spamming the same video than posting it. Now sure I have both versions of it I paid 76 with tax for my SE version then I see that another version is available,my justification? Because its available. I had to sit through months of thinking I’ll be on a even playing field with all the pro’s then low and behold they get special invites to play game from first event to release. Was I salty a little but know what they were invited to do so. So now capcom gets exposed a little for having a wrong plan, dlc becomes available on the black market,I for one have the means so fugg it I’m sure justin and mike Ross and all these dudes knows someone who knows some one too. So in conclusion Capcom has a contract with Sony why break it for a few hundred people with access most of the people with access probably won’t enter any pro level tournaments or play this as long as we will.

Saw all characters on a stream earlier some guy came in. What can you do about it? Nothing just get over it and move on you knew what you were buying when you got a capcom product.

Also I’d like to add that this game is super top notch minus the sound bug and 2v2 Xbox couch thing

Ehhh. I mean the data is on the disc, but my issue is that some of us don’t like to risk getting permabanned on XBL and in addition its not widely available to everyone. I say if you see it, don’t play them if you think its unfair, or if you’re feeling snitchy, report them and get them banned. I don’t condone hacking in any sense regardless of what is on disc but taking it online is completely unfair IMO.

And for those in doubt of consoles geting bricked: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/2366.aspx

Some of those are hilarious and the same trend repeats often:

“My brother was using my console and it got banned”
“I did nothing wrong”
“I was gone for 2 weeks and suddenly I’m banned”

Most of the time its for people hacking their IDs in COD. So you can bet if your SFxT disc is hacked you’ll get permabanned along with the 12 year olds on COD.

It’s not about adding 12 characters to boost Vita version sales; it’s more like rewarding people who bought the Vita version by adding the 12 additional characters. They get access to the characters before anyone else, and they don’t have to pay extra for them. This is a good deal for anyone planning to purchase a Vita and haven’t bought the game yet.

Kudos sir. Unfortunately, I was one of many who bought every version of SF4 and MVC3, which costed me over 100 dollars each.

Pretty much. Capcom’s loyal day-1 customers are the ones to get shafted as usual, and Capcom doesn’t care because:

A) the customers are OK with it.
B) they’re too busy trying to attract new customers.

If you bought the game then congratulations, you are the problem.

Well I bought the game before release down in LB with the rest of the SoCal FGC that showed up didn’t know game was gonna be this drama-filled and even if it was purchased on release day I still woulda got it games fun and only thing we have to pay for is clothes and characters and the characters are worth it in the end this is the deal and it’s done play or don’t buy or don’t I’m enjoying both versions and I’m not taking he characters online I’ve got 2 xboxes and I’ll just enjoy with my boys that play…offline and play online like normal with the regulars

Dude, I bought the game and I’m happy with it. It looks like you’re the one with the problem.

Jack X using super arts, faught this guy yesterday night!

If you hate SFxT so much, then why are you constantly posting about it on a message board?

LOL at everyone thinking they are going to get console banned for playing modded game.

Microsoft only care about there products and modding of a game is not there concern.

What you should be worried about is if capcom is sloppy enough to let the characters be enabled is what comes next…
one punch kills and infinite health online

Difference here is the cod id is in your xbox live profile which is controlled by microsoft.

Nope, you’re wrong.

http://whywasibanned.com/2012/02/29/clipped-wings/

Microsoft can brick your console over things you wouldn’t even think they would but they will. LIGHTLY modding a save file? No. Physically tampering a game, yes. Which is more than clear-cut at this point for unlocking the 12 DLC characters. Unless I’m mistaken and they’re directly correlated to your save game file which couldn’t be further from the truth. People have been MAC Banned for playing a game a week early. I know people who were Gamestop employees and played a couple of games a few days early because well, why not?
You think Microsoft won’t but they can and they just possibly might. Keep pushing that boundary.

I played pac-man on 360 it was cool

Not sure if you understand the difference but that is a profile ban not an xbox ban

You said,

…which was incorrect. MS does care about modding of games on their platform, and they most certainly will take action if it is brought to their attention.

i’ll be offsetting the ON DISC DLC costs by pirating the PC version and unlocking everything for free, it all works out in the end.
