Anyway this manifesto…it’s really turned weird. How does he keep finding all these attractive women and couples? According to him they’re absolutely all over the place all the time. But there really aren’t that many attractive women really, not to that extent. Maybe I just don’t notice. But most people are kind of ugly. I’ve read this whole thing so far and now I really can’t understand how he got that way. I know he had social issues, but he just becomes a complete asshole, or maybe he always was an asshole. How can someone be such an asshole and how does this happen to somebody?
I know plenty of dudes that suck with women. Some of them imply that they struggle with depression, but when I talk to them or drop by they’re really nice. This Elliot dude is just plain mean to everyone. I think he actually has more friends and hangs out with them more than I do. He’s always talking about all these people he knows and goes to restaurants and parties with, he just says he hates them all. And his parents even pay for his apartment and entire tuition, most of us have to take out loans. This guy is such an entitled brat and crybaby.

The guy was insane and if he wasn’t Caucasian with decently affluent enough parents, he probably would have been locked up, and probably wouldn’t have been able to purchase any weaponry. The problem is since any new laws would primarily impact minorities, but it’s insane whites that go on these killings, there is no real way to prevent it from happening again at all.

Man this happened in my city, i didn’t even hear about it until like 9 hours after it happened because i was in the gym super early and was busy until i surfaced to watch the fights.
Shit is everywhere, there was even a mass email when i came into work this morning documenting the tragedy and offering grief counselors.
I’m at a loss why they are offered to a bunch of people who don’t even know the kid or the family or the victims but that’s kinda the mind set for this area.

Defnitely some larger issues at hand, but if the state had a law that if he is seeing a psychiatrist, or a nurse finds paper with him doodling his massacre on, etc… that when these things happened, his personal guns would be immediately temporarily seized by local law enforcement until he was deemed mentally fit to won them again, this likely would not have happened. Not to mention simply adding tougher steps in checking mental health before you are even allowed to buy a gun would have likely prevented all of this. I bet his parents simply finding out he owned so many guns and ammo would have been alarming enough for the both of them to devote more time to making sure their son is okay, leading to him not going on any type of massacre with any type of weapon. In his manifesto, he simply walks in and buys guns like hes buying candy, just with a longer wait time for your purchase. He actually was repulsed by guns at first, and was sickened that his life had came to the point that he was going to massacre people. He got over that, but at one point he definitely realized he had fucking gone nuts.
I would argue that the overwhelming majority of women do not feel that afraid of men at all. Those misandrist on twitter are already a vocal minority, and their opinions shouldnt quickly speak for the majority of women. I think women naturally are more cautious these days of men, as they fucking should be, but legit are in constant fear of men attacking them, no, thats a minority of women who feel like that, and i bet most of them were victims of some sort of violent crime by a man in the past.
Yeah, definitely this to an extent. Women seem to have a shit ton of wrong information poured into their minds, willingly, much more often then men do. Their female friends tend to give them wildly wrong information about everything from relationships to sex, to how cars work, then on top of that, they share these wildly stupid opinions on things, and to “be nice” to each other, they NEVER check one another. If a guy says some wildly stupid shit to another dude, 9 times out of 10, we check that shit. For women, in my experiences, all that wrong shit they get fed, NEVER gets checked, EVER.
Also you have women giving each other advice and opinions on men, how we work, what the things that we do mean, and theyre usually wrong as shit. Then on top of that, you have the worst of them all, THE FUCKING MALE FRIEND. This turd wont so much as tell her that shit actually stinks if she asked him if it does. The male friend is generally the most useless person for women to get information about men from. There are only a small amount of men imo that genuinely will check their female friends on shit, because they have no interest in their female friend, the rest either just agree because they cannot be bothered to argue with her, or in order to protect her little rosey world, will simply group up on shitting on men for doing the exact same shit they do. lol. Ive seen this shit so much, it physically makes me disgusted right now.

All i have is anecdotal shit for that racial differences, but that fear men shit is mostly white, and some asian women. You dont see latina, and black women really on that shit at all, probably because they know they have family that will stomp the shit out of a dude that tried to fuck with them. lol
So yes, while there are other reasons also that add into some of this make believe fear and victimizing these small group of women feel, being largely misinformed is a major contributer to that. I mean, when they still blindly throw around the “i make 77 cents on the dollar compared to men” shit, then i know you have blinders on. You are so misinformed, and so in a constant state of rejecting anything that you believe in, because youre self conscious about once again being wrong to a man, that they will blindly cling to shit that so many people have debunked over and over. Yeah, i have said this before, but was thinking it again last night, but too tired to post anymore. Like, everytime this happens, this is horrific, but if you think about the amount of people in this country with guns, or knowledge of explosives, then the amount of people just as angry as elliot or angrier about the same things, or even different shit unrelated to sex, politics, wallstreet, etc. its actually quite good that this only happens once ever year or two, because there are millions of elliots out there, and thank god they never go this far.
So many people live in this fantasy world where they think mass murders can be stopped. They cant, short of like you said, a police state. There are too many people in this country, and too many people angry with access to weapons, even simply just knives, to not have this happen again. All we can do is work with policy on obtaining weapons a bit better, and continually remind everyone, that if you have a neighbor, or friend, that seems to be a little cuku, to be cautious, report any crimes, and if possible talk to their friends or family members in possibly getting them help they may need.
Better gun control policy wouldve worked here, sure, but also better parenting, and people caring/cautious enough to reach out to elliots parents, sister, or whoever to be like, i think your son has some legit issues, and im concerned he may hurt himself or others, because he is not behaving normal at all.

Hell, id be like show me your fucking bank statements too. Id make sure that he wasnt going to harm himself, others, or even me, before i just go, “eh, get him a shrink, hes just angry or something”.

I remember reading that his parents sent authorities a link to his YouTube account because they found the videos disturbing but no police action was taken.
