Ok are people really disputing that the dude was a misogynist who hated women and that’s what fueled this rampage? The dude posted on puahate. I was first discovered puahate when I was browsing the internets and some troll kept whining about how he couldn’t get laid because girls only liked good looking guys (it was not the killer btw but one quite similar to him). Someone said, “ignore him he posts on puahate”. Curious I opened up a new tab and checked it out, only to close it afterward because it was a cesspool. The average dude on puahate complains that women are sluts, which is a contradiction because they also complain that women won’t sleep with them. If women are so easy, why aren’t they getting any?. Its this cognitive dissonance that makes them rage so hard. So they make excuses. “Its because I’m ugly!”
So that’s why this guy got so mad when “ugly” asian dudes were scoring white girls. It challenged his world view, which said that the blame lay entirely on the woman’s shoulders. If he had followed things to their logical conclusion, he would have realized that the reason he couldn’t get anybody was because he was a murderous piece of shit. That would have shattered his fragile ego. So he directed his rage at women, for sleeping with “ugly” men. He directed his hatred toward the men as well, because they served as constant reminders that actually the problem was not the women, but with him. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he felt like men and women were all conspiring against him. The majority of the guys he murdered were his roommates, who he needed to get rid of so he could set up his apartment torture chamber. I think the other guy was one of the popular guys at school that was getting laid a lot. So his victims are entirely consistent with his misogyny. I also wouldn’t be surprised if his roommates kept calling him out on his shit and saying that girls didn’t like him because he was a creepy loser. They might also have been sleeping with white women, which of course would make him rage harder.
But I don’t think misogyny was the root problem. Why was he a misogynist? This is going to sound like a stretch, but the problem has a lot to do with the materialistic and superficial society of american capitalism. Capitalism FEEDS off of making you feel inadequate.
“You suck, buy this car”
“You’re ugly, buy these clothes”
“Hey if you use axe body spray, you’ll get laid”
“Get the new ipad, your current one is obsolete noob!”
The worst things about these ads is they promise instant gratification. Instead of working hard on developing yourself as a person, you can just go out and buy something to “fix” your supposed problems. Meanwhile, pop music and hollywood movies all stress that men DESERVE a hot 10, and that if you as a man are not fucking a different hot woman every week, you are a loser. Basically, there is tremendous pressure on guys who are barraged at every corner with constant reminders that they simply don’t measure up. This kind of crap is not good for your mental health. Capitalism not only makes you a slave to debt, it makes you depressed. You get a temporary high from a purchase, but then you want to the next new and improved version once you see someone more successful than you buying it. The more you have, the more sad you are. It never ends. If everyone in the world was happy with their life, the economy would collapse immediately. So its in the corporate plutocracy’s best interest to make you feel like a failure. I can’t prove any of this because its just speculation, but I feel like that’s why the USA produces all these mass murderers, despite having the highest GDP.
To fix this, don’t be materialistic. Put those corporations out of business. Don’t shop at places like Walmart that shit on their employees while the owners are billionaires. Don’t vote for the shitty politicians who get in bed with the corporations. Vote for serious campaign finance reform, so that businesses can no longer buy out judges. Don’t fall for this fake left/right dichotomy. They both serve the same masters. There is hope, but everyone has to work together. Now I don’t think there’s much hope, so that’s why I like many others seek financial independence so we can escape this brutal game.
edit: and since the NSA is reading everything, just for the record I am not a communist, my parents left communist china because it was awful. I just think that capitalism, specifically the banking sector, needs some serious checks on its power.
