Thx Matt, It worked! Your the best:tup:

Completed a mod install for Fatsaks. I wired up a PS360 and Sparky into his Tek-Innovations complete plexi case. The PS360 pcb allows this stick to function on both the PS3 and 360 systems. The Sparky board is a led controller board that controlles the leds inside the buttons to do cool effects.

gummowned I sent you an email again about the button mapping.

Finished a mod for Bad_Boy_Brazil. I dual modded his PS3 Qanba and installed an led mod using Arc Eyes in the buttons and Toodle’s led controller board to control them. The ball top is led modded with an Ultra Violet led and a Neutrik USB jack installed as well.

GLUE

I need to switch back to my mini glue gun. It seems to join pcbs together a lot better with far less glue.

I thought I was the only one that used too much glue lol

Glue Lol. It’s fine as long it works. Great Stuff. The Eightarc Pearl will soon received the same treatment. Also did you have to modify the Ball top to make it work? I’m asking you that because I might want to change the ball top. Thanks again.

Yes I did, I had to drill a hole into it for the led. You won’t want to change the ball top anyways. The UV tint in the ball top reacts to the ultra violet led and makes it glow nicely when lit up. Looks really cool.

Nice but in case that I need to replace it in the future what Drill bit did you used to make it fit perfectly (or whatever different procedure you use for that) Thanks.

I used my dremel with a 3mm drill bit.

What’s the difference between the basic LED mod and having the addition of extra LED effects?
Doesn’t matter what color the button is as long as the casing is clear right? I’m planning on buying a set of those half clear / black button Sanwas.
Also, do I need to drill the jlf shaft myself to get the ball top LED? Thanks Gumm

Wow! I just realized I can use regular drill bits in my dremel! I been breaking out the mega drill to drill 3-4mm holes in cases… so awkward!

thanks Gummo!

Basic led mod is just light up on button press. The extra led effect mod includes Toodle’s LED controller board that adds several cool effects.

So long as the button is clear then you’re set. If you do get a color cleared button you will be limited to the led lighting up that color. Only the clear white and clear black can you use any led color.

You’ll need to purchase a drilled shaft unless you have the machinery to do it, which is unlikely. If you have a hard time finding one you can buy one of Phreakazoid’s detachable jlf shafts as they are hollow. The ball tops you can drill a hole out yourself (takes me a few minutes to do so with my dremel).

Just a quick question (nothing serious)

There are times when i’m playing on the PS3 and everything except the start button on my stick works. It usually leads to me having to unplug and replug the USB in order for it to start working again. It’s nothing serious but I have seen it randomly happen at times (and only once during a weekly). Any way to prevent it? It only happens on the PS3 so I always assumed somewhere between restarting a match and going back in causes it to desynch/resynch to the system.

can you still activate Guide by pressing Start+Select even when the start button doesn’t work? I had this issue yesterday on 360 TE+ChimpSMD.

IIRC The guide still works. Actually the buttons work (sorry completely forgot they do) it’s just the stick itself stops working until I unplug/replug the USB. So I can hit all the buttons I want, but I can’t move.

Hold start and press up (or maybe its down). You have a dual strike smd installed. Olding start and pressing left or right will on the fly change the stick mode to either left or right analog stick.

Thanks. I’ll give it a shot next time it happens.
