Reason he’s making it assembled SMD is to make it cheaper to produce and less mistakes made by users. The pricing should still remain the same if not like $5 more.
Having everything have a screw terminal will make it require less soldering and will be a solderless mod if combined with the TEasy when it comes out.
I can sell you some arc-eyes. Just pm how many you need and if you need them assembled or not.

Can you assemble the arc and board, and let me know how to do the rest? I’m electronically competent, and could probably take care of the rest myself. If you can let me know whats involved I can let you know if I can take care of it.

I guess what I’m asking is, how can we minimize what is shipped and maybe we can work something out in terms of setting up the arcs.

As long as you just want it to light up a color on press then all I really need is the buttons. I can install the arceyes in the buttons. You would have to twist all the 5v wires together with a twist cap and have one wire connected to that to the 5v spot on the chimp. Then plug the QDs back to the buttons.
Yup the ChimpSMD will have QDs for everything including both usb. TEasy is a pcb that will fit under the 360 TE/SE pcb and have a ribbon cable connected to it so it can be wired up to other boards without having to solder anything.
Man, there is soooooo much wiring I’ve got to do on this case, I’ve got half a mind to ship it down to you and pay you to wire it. It just feels like cheating though. But a wireless dual mod with dual LEDs and a Masterstrike is goint to have a slew of wiring no matter how you cut it.
Yep. I’ve got to run 2 power wires to 6 button (one for blue, one for green), 1 power wire for 2 buttons (white) then everything to the M$trike. I’m thinking about going the pin header route, which is just more time. Thank goodness for 30 gauge wire…
When you say “just,” what other things can be done with the LED mod? If I’m gonna get it, I’d like to get the most out of the mod, so lemme know what other options there are.
well you can have all the leds on but dimmed and then when pressed they go full on. Or could have one color full on and when pressed it changes to another color.
Can have them all flash a color when rumble goes off, but this requires the controller to have rumble ability.
