Elis has 3 new cases built. He didn’t drill holes in the plexi yet so that he can let the buyer choose how they want the button layout to be.

Case #1. Pretty simple. Oak wood with rounded sides/corners. Buyer can pick what color to have it stained.

Case #2. A pretty unique design. Made from Oak. Has two dimples above start/select so you can tell where they are at. Buyer can pick what color to have it stained.

Case #3. Has nice angled cuts all around especially at the corners. Made out of different woods to give it an exotic look. This case has already been coated with poly. It was not stained to preserve the original colors of each of the woods.

Each of the cases are $100. They will all have plexi. If you have artwork I can have it printed and put in the case.

Finished TheFrza’s stick. Did a Chimp+360 dual mod install into his custom case. Also did an LED mod to the buttons and ball top. The home button lights up blue when playing on ps3 and lights up when playing on 360.

I gotta say that Elis’s cases are solidly constructed! I am VERY satisfied with the build and construction of my case. If anyone wants to feel how his cases are and you live in the NYC/NJ area, feel free to PM me.

Finished a mod for Dalivus. Dual modded a 360 Madcatz fightpad for ps3 using the Dual Strike SMD board.

Hey Gum I was wondering if you were ever going to use Paewang PCBs for your modding service. Since it requires only the one PCB itself instead of a Chimp+360 pad for a 360/PS3 compatible stick and its makes for very roomy space. If not would I be able to order one and have it sent to you and send my stick so you can put it together? I just have no experience with soldering and dont wanna mess things up.

edit: one more thing. Is there any way for you to add a headset jack port?

I won’t be stocking Paewang PCBs, but if someone wants it used in their stick then they can supply the pcb and I’ll do the install for $50.

I can only add a headset jack port if the 360 pcb in the mod has the headset capability already like the madcatz pads do. Paewang PCBs dont.

I’ll be out of state this weekend. I’ll be going to New York for the NYC Road to Evo 2 tourny. I’ll try to answer any pm’s and emails as best I can. I do have some good news for when I get back for people who would like to save some $$ on shipping costs. I’m going to start offering a service to have people just ship the stick’s pcb and I’ll wire it all up so all you have to do is replug it back in the stick. I’ll first start with just 360 TE -> PS3 since it will be the easiest to put back in the stick. I’ll have to ask you guy’s for your opinion on how to hook back up the USB wires. I’m thinking either with a terminal screw strip or with wire-nuts (they are caps that twist onto the wires). I’ll provide more details next week. I’ll still provide full install services so don’t worry.

Great work

Thanks for your awesome work, dude. This guy’s a real pro. Fast doesn’t describe it. The pad was waiting for me the DAY I got back and it’s top notch. I’m on gamespot as Uesugi-dono and I’ve put up a blog recommending you and your work to everyone I know. Hopefully I can steer some business your way.

Finished Acidraine’s and Oli 00’s sticks last week before I left to NY for the weekend. Wasn’t able to post pics then because photobucket was giving me troubles.

Oli 00’s R2 360 TE -> Chimp

Acidraine’s MvC2 TE -> Paewang pcb + button/plexi/joystick swap. Had to drill two holes on a sanwa mounting plate in order to mount the seimitsu stick onto the TE.

Finished Breakz’s stick today. Is a PS3 TE that I dual modded with the new smd version of Toodle’s chimp board.

Thats fcuking nice And awesome jog Gum.

Cant wait for u to start my stick project.

Hey Gum…PM coming your way!

What’s the difference between the old chimp and the new chimp SMD?

Code wise there shouldn’t be anything different.

A better 4066 chip is used so no more issues of people having problems of the auto detect not workin will be gone. Also the trigger inversion is improved.

The smd version has a square pcb size. Surface area is the roughly the same. No more holes to where you can solder at to piggy back so you have to use the screw terminals. The screw terminals are smaller so it gives a better hold on smaller wires. Theres screw terminals for both main usb wires going to the chimp and from chimp to 360. And screw terminals for the trigger inversion. They will all be preassembled.

Cool, but I shouldn’t have any of those detect issues with the chimp you installed in mine right? (wont get to play it until this weekend)

You should have no problem. I test all mods before shipping them out.

reducing the arc-eye led mod by $20. So $60 for the mod itself and $40 if also getting a dual mod.

That’s a great deal guys!!! ^^^^

The arc eye led mods are much brighter. Check the pic of my Zelda stick a few posts back.

Ahhh man, for 40 I would’ve totally gone for it.

Still requires transparent buttons to already be provided.

Toodles is still working on pricing. You’re experienced with SMDs, so do you think it’s gonna be cheaper or more expensive than the current version? I’m guessing more expensive, because it’s assembled, but the SMD cost might offset that a little? What do you think?

Also, can I buy some arc-eye’s from you? (assembled or unassembled) And do you have any of the clear plungers?

And finally… do you wanna trade a ChImp for an Imp + MC Cthulhu (your chimp, my MC+Imp)

Yeah I know, I have PS-14KN’s, maybe in the future if I get any other mods done.
