Not if what we know and have seen are any indication. Mini-Eddie’s moves use up more of the bar, j.K reportedly has less priority (ABOUT TIME), his new move is VERY unsafe, and his command throw is no longer invulerable to other throws. Eddie’s basic design will always be good to an extent, but he still got some major nerfs while a lot of characters got significant improvements.

I was browsing Yukinose’s site earlier today and according to him, he’s struggling to adjust to the new Bridget. He claims that although he has used Bridget about four times more than Testament in Slash, his win ratio is much higher with Testament. So he says that he will continue to use Testament at tournaments until his Bridget becomes stable.

He also says that he has decided to play Melty Blood seriously, so he will be allocating time between the two games.

Again, complex move lists or commands is no justification for having more power than other characters. Every person should be able to choose the character they like best and have the same chance of winning, or as close to it as possible, as everyone else. Variety and depth makes the game more fun, not less.
