Aksys Games rules. Maybe I missed it but is there a release date and price announcement yet?
Okay for the record, GGAC+ was never made with netcode to begin with so it would very tough to recode everything with netplay right off the bat.
Also if someone forgot, PS2 DOES NOT have a network infrastructure built for us to even play off of so without that done right, everyone will have bad network play, hence why netcode won’t be justifiable.
PSN release not possible as name a PS2 title that was ever offered on PSN right now?
So with that in mind, it doesn’t mean we never gone to bat for the community. We tried, hell I try on the daily to make whatever there is to improve and also tried to get netcode made from the get go. Unfortunately, Company A just didn’t have the time and efforts to make it happen for Company B.
And to give you an idea as why company A didn’t have the resources and time to make netplay available, is simple. You guys all heard of Blazblue right?
Good to know people are working hard for the scene, and even more, that they take the time to come here and share.

I expect a product released in 2009 to contain features that are (nearly) standard in other similar products. How those features end up in the final product, or don’t, are irrelevant: Aksys’s fault or not, this title is missing a key feature that should be the norm by now.
You’re mistaking “negativity” for “criticism.”
Ok so who exactly are you criticising then? If you want to blame anyone, blame ASW for not including online in the original Japanese version of the game, or blame Sony for not having good online capabilities for PS2 games.

Wow I really didn’t expect this to come out. Kudos to Arksys for bringing this game over. Also glad to see a Wii version as well as they haven’t left Wii owners in the cold (I guess the Wii version of Accent Core performed respectably). Though I am a little bummed out that there is no online play for the Wii version, but then again like other have said it isn’t like they coded the game and the fact that this is even being released here is more then good enough.
Just two questions though, did Arc System Works make any balance changes with this game (like tone down Eddie for example) or is it just Kilff and Justice added on to the roster? Also is there going to be an appended disc version for the people who already own Accent Core for the PS2 and Wii versions?

Sucks that the balance issues weren’t fixed. Are Kliff and Justice significantly underpowered or overpowered in the game or is that unknown?
Also a little off-topic but wow this site has been significantly overhauled since I’ve been gone.

This move kinda confuses me. I thought the reason they never released #Reload (for ps2) and Slash out here is because they didn’t think they would sell because they were too minor of updates, but now they release Accent Core PLUS, with no gameplay changes…huh.
This should have been for 360 with netplay. That’d get me to rebuy Accent Core. =/

yeah if they’ve never been tourney legal, why start now? :looney: but to put things in prespective, do they look anymore silly than AC Slayer, Jam, Testament or Eddie?

y’know, this is just persona 3 fes for guilty gear. more goodies. ALL SINGLE PLAYER. and anyone who hasn’t got a copy should just pick it up now with AC+.

You got that right. In one hand it makes characters like Eddie and Testament not as overpowered, but in the other it makes the other characters that much worse then the big ones.
I really hope that they aren’t THAT big of a problem.
