Ah. So did any of his combos change much or is sidewinder loops still his main deal? Also, did Jam get any better or worse? Same for Baiken?
CPU Pot on Maniac is the thing of nightmares
Not really thus far. There’s been some playing around with whatever>5HS>Fafnir>RC>whatever(like Grand Viper for instance). And there’s dustloop>sidewinder.
They added some stuff for Baiken are more akin to her EX version. For instance, her EX version had a move where she would throw out three tatami mats. Now that seems to be her force break. They gave her this spinning wheel counter, which was also an EX move back in the day.
Her P counter with the hook is now a normal move and can’t be used on block.
Besides that, it’s just a bunch of changes to frames, damage, properties etc on her normals and older moves. Obviously she has some different combo possibilities now.
I would say she can be played more aggressively than she used to.
Check out this video to see some of her new stuff. One new property I like is that Kabari (her chain move) now pulls and slides the opponent towards you and offers combo possibility. At about 12:29 in the video Baiken does Kabari, opponent slides then 2D->air combo. Cool stuff.

Once again I must ask…why ARC…WHY are justice and kliff in this game. ARRGGHHHHHH RAGEEEEE
You are over reacting much, Kliff is not that bad, and Justice is barely a problem considering how underpowered is now, for being a dedicated zoner, he/she lacks all the tools to not be outzoned by the other zoner chars, and doesn’t really have a solid answer when is rushed down, if Zato wan’t a problem ever, dunno why Kliff or Justice would be one now, when they aren’t near as strong as Zato was on some iterations.
i’ve been holding off on getting another version of AC since i already own the ps2 version
that said, those update notes sound really neat so i’ll probably get +R this spring once we hear how good the patch/port is when people are playing it
I know justice isn’t great but the fact that you have to play against a character thats just gonna sit on the other side of the screen throwing fire balls for 99 seconds annoys me to no end. I can only hope ARC leaves her at shit tier and eventually no one uses her. Kliffs character is just dumb looking to me.
My friend, i have to tell you, that is scrub mentality at it finest
There is nothing wrong on having a character who’s goal is to keep you away from him
Next you will tell us how do you think that running away is playing dirty/gay/etc
Also lol at wishing a character being trash tier because you find annoying to play against him/her
Thank god that you are not a fg designer
Lol
2012, about to go into 2013, and we still got people like this in the FGC?
Not even marvel kids are this scrubby.
Call me a scrub if you wish, just leave the marvel kiddies out of this.
LMAO… well then…
I’ve only gotten like, a couple of rage-quits/hate-mail playing GGXXACP online. Both times I’ve called them out on their scrubby attitude, and one actually apologized for the rage-quit and asked for tips to be a better player.
Most newbies and scrubs just leave the room after one or two matches anyway.
GGs @Kayin
Nice Ky… I only got one win against his Axl.
Anybody else want free wins tonight? I’d also love some advice on what I’m doing wrong after the matches. I’ll be on probably about 7PM EST after the gym.
I’m seriously getting into this game like it was Marvel 2 in 2k3… wow.
Anybody can provide me with some BnB stuff for Venom? I hate Dustloop’s format…
There’s so many possibilities…I think it’s better to just watch the endless amount of footage on youtube of top Venoms. Look for SBO matches especially, I believe N-Otoko once got to the finals of SBO.
Anyone know who the top Dizzy players are at this moment? I know Kazuki was extremely good and I got some footage of him, but I don’t know any other big names right now.
Been watching. Even though some BnB combos? I’ve been doing this (Excuse my notation?)
5S > J. S > J. K > S > D
I don’t know how else to follow that up. I’d like to do more damage though.
Well I don’t know much about how Venoms combos and setups are done (in terms of button presses) but I notice his combos are typically not that big…damage is usually sacrificed for ball positioning because Venoms lockdown is insanely good.
This particular match shows a variety of combos that sacrifice damage for positioning…and show how to pressure in many ways with him:

Thanks for that.
IIRC Ruki and H.H are still around.
