That’s why I think it’s flawed - because characters that have overall good balance are considered low, but in looking at tournament results, you wouldn’t think that… I mean, Chun and Dictator are considered low in Super Turbo according to ranking charts, but they’re both clearly A-Tier.
I also don’t think it takes into consideration a infrequently used character, which is a factor in things. I don’t like that it gives a lot of points to various characters, again using Super Turbo for the Blanka or Gief matchup, considering there’s not as many of them as say, Ryu players - this is a flaw with tournament results as well, considering the most frequent winners are going to be characters that have an easier time against him than not.
IDK… I say fuck balance and just play the damn game…
I’ll add you on PSN. I’m not on a lot, but when I am, I usually have a fair bit of time to play. What part of NY are you from?
She was the first character I tried to pick up when I started playing the game. I sure didn’t know any better at the time. xD I’ve been wanting to learn her though, and now that I can play the game with a stick, it should be a bit easier than trying to do CL FRCs on a PSP or Dualshock.
That and Badlands Loops are harder/less possible, from my understanding. His EXE beast pressure isn’t as + anymore, but IIRC you can now charge one and summon the other, so that’s cool.
I broke two controllers playing this game, so now I’m stuck with my 6-button fightpad. I just said fuck it and tried to learn the arcade button setup, and honestly it’s great once you get the hang of it. I’d say it’s better than the 4-button setup I normally use:
Exe Beast: disappears if he’s hit while summoning, Forward Exe no longer OTGs + has increased startup
Badlands: increased GB- (scales combos harder), less untechable time, doesn’t float them as much, knocks them further away
Tree: now only activates if opponent passes over the tree (previously they just had to be close enough… not a huge deal overall but he loses midscreen just-frame crossup setups which sucks)
Basically his damage got nerfed, and his pressure w/o curse is weaker. Aside from that he’s pretty intact still, and got buffs to his zoning game.
Nah… It was pushed into conception back in March after constant complaints… No word until August or September… No word since then. I contacted Dave Lang directly, as did a few others and we got the answer that it is in the approval process with Sony and Microsoft right now - and hopefully it will be released in January or February. A full fucking year for the patch to come out, but hey - at least it’s coming out and I commend Dave Lang for actually putting it forth. They’re not getting paid to make it. They’re doing it for the community actually, which I really appreciate.
Eyo… You know what would be a cool feature to add with the +R update?
The ability to select whichever Burst art you want… Because that new BURST gauge for +R is fucking ass on stink.
