I also have GGX on Dreamcast, but I have a hard time remembering that there’s no D button in that game (Dust Attacks and Sweeps are done with S+HS)

Some moves, when they are the starting hit of a combo, will prorate (or scale) the damage of the rest of the combo. Most moves that have this will scale it by a percentage: 90% damage, 70% damage, etc. There is also forced prorate, which is the samething, but will scale damage regardless of when in the combo they hit. Jam’s QCFx2+H super, the first hit prorates 150% (in other words, it will increase your combo damage by 50%), but the second hit will force prorate by 75%.

The first hit of Sol’s Tyrant Rave has no proration at all, as well as a very low GB- value, and high initial damage; along with sidewinder loops doing a ton of damage to begin with. Same with Slayer’s Dead on Time.

Ah, I see. I understood the concept of proration but I was unaware that some could actually INCREASE the damage of combos.

I don’t know why this is, but I get the worst connections with the people that have played the most matches.

Don’t forget that jacking up someone’s guard bar will increase damage like crazy if you manage to get a combo off while it’s high.

That shit was nuts… I pushed this dude to the corner with two of those slow ball supers Venom has and did a corner high/low mixup into a very basic, 2K, 5S xx Jump, S, jump, K, S, D… Shit took off like 55% and my mind was BLOWN.

I get shit damage with Slayer on a HIGH flashing guard bar because I try to do too many j.Hs and 5Hs. Whereas I can kill from a +65 guardbar. I’m fucking retarded like that.

How can I access the other palettes? I can only use the five default ones we get from the start.

Everyone has a set of combos that are deliciously, and positively stupid. Slayer has IAD j.K j.K and 5H relaunches. So good.
One day I hope to play I-no, because her combos are truly the most amazing.

I want to be able to hitconfirm 5K into DoT with Slayer. It’s easier with 5K being jump cancelable and DoT being 6F, but I’m still inconsistent at it.

@bkfst_sausage and @FadedSun303 Is Sunday night good for either of you? I spent my Saturday night hitting weights.

I try landing 7 clean hit Sidewinders but it never ends in a untechable KD.

Sunday is cool for me. I’ll be around studying all day so I’ll just leave my PS3 on. I usually hit up 3rd Strike or GG for study breaks.
