it probably just has good initial damage scaling values, so the following hits start out less scaled than from other common starters, plus however much damage you got from the initial overdrive.
If you RC sol’s Tyrant Rave after the first hit and go into sidewinder loops it does massive damage, as does an RC/FRC of Dead on Time with Slayer (or just get a counterhit with it and do 70% life without spending any extra meter)
I’m a Baiken player. Maybe some of you have seen me on PSN. Faded_Sun is my username. If you haven’t seen me, then add me! Especially if you live on the East Coast, we’ll probably get a near perfect connection if you have good internet.
Who are the premier I-No players in Japan these days? I’ve been wanting to pick up a new character after years of playing and I always liked I-No for her unorthodox play style.
You found that out too huh?! lol. I’ve know about this since X2. Do upppercut over drive~FRC~ three dragon kicks for 70% of your opponents life bar…good times
Not at all. Definitely add me. How well I’ll play is totally dependent on how well our connection is. but if you live on the EC I don’t suspect we’ll have a problem. It’s the worst when I can’t even string a gatling together because of input lag
The only I-no player I bother watching is the legendary Koichi. He is the reason my interest in I-no is so high. I’m going to add you. I’m East Coast and I need to get better at GG.
Probably get in some sessions Saturday and Sunday night. Gonna dread Mixah’s Venom. GG’s zoners are no joke.
I think that ranking charts don’t always completely represent tiers. I saw a pretty accurate ranking chart for Super Turbo once that had Dhalsim as second tier because of his bad matchup against Vega and consequently, O.Gat as second tier because of his bad matchup against Dhalsim… So yes, as said, take it with a grain of salt.
Now, to prove my scrubbiness:
Help me out here…

Yeah, and that is saying Sol is low(ish). I am not taking this seriously but I don’t expect much of Sol. He’s just a decent character with a respectable/great damage output and strong AA game. In AC, imo, he fell into that rut of being a standard well rounded character. Which I think is his downfall.
No one is going to say Sol sucks because he just doesn’t in AC and AC+R. He gets outzoned but he still has reliable pokes, AAs, Wild Throw, and his damage output. Anyway, I’d take a “low tier” in AC than in something like SF.shrug
Plus Sol is fun as hell to play. Also, from what I’ve seen +R Sol is probably one of my favorite versions of Sol.
I don’t know man, i actually prefer matchup charts because they give you a better idea on how balanced is the game, plus it gives you a better idea on how each character stands against the others
For example, Sol is technically low, but seeing the matchup chart we can see that he is not in any particular disadvantage against anyone since his worst matchups are 6:4 wich is pretty balanced.
Well that is because low tier on GG doesn’t mean you are hopeless, just that you probably have more 6:4 matchups against you across the board.
It helps that all the characters have access to good tools and multiple options.
