Dead Angle = Alpha Counter
Slashback = Parry
Honestly Slashback isn’t used very often at all. It’s great if you read whatever they’re gonna throw out next, but most times the risk is too high X_X
Dubious Curve (RDP) gives you the lightning balls.

GGs dude! That Venom rushdown really kept me on my toes!
Thanks
And as said, that dubious curve has to hit and I get the electric one…
So, speaking of Venom, I saw an interesting combo that I’m not quite sure if I have the inputs down… corner, it was…
Throw > 6P, 6S, 214D, 6S, 214K, 421P - and it did decent damage and had a nice corner ball trap going on… But I can’t seem to make the dubious curve hit, so I’m wondering if it’s character specific or if there’s something else to it…
Again tomorrow night?
God damn it! Guru plays FAUST?! This guy keeps picking annoying characters.
I gotta practice…
Right? Fucking Honda in Super Turbo… Colossus in MvC2… Dual War Machines in MvC… Taka in Virtua Fighter…
FUCKING ANNOYING CHARACTERS ALL DAY…
Then in 3S, @Guru does this shit to me:

WHY DOES HE STILL LIVE
Appropriate picture is appropriate.
Also… Tomorrow night? GGAC? MO! I want at that FAUST NYKKA
I hate how often I seem to run into someone that I beat once or twice with Slayer, and then they switch to Potemkin. It’s also usually when the connections seem to worsen. I’m so free to Potemkin.
So, is the netcode as bad as XBOX version or better?
Tomorrow night works for me!
Is there any way to hit FRCs more consistently? I have like, a 60% chance at hitting gun flame FRC on a good day.
Grind that shit. It’s mostly just muscle memory. You can try to do visual or audio cues (when his ponytail reaches its peak or whatever) but it all comes down to muscle memory. I can do Dizzy’s Ice Spike FRC about 90-95% of the time on a good day, entirely by feel.
With most, it’s straight muscle memory.
I struggle with Chipp’s command throw though, the FRC is so late, it doesn’t seem that tight and it’s right on the hit, but can’t really do it on natural reflex.
Goddamnit I-no is fun. Hover dash -> whiff HS -> throw all day.
I-no is probably the most entertaining woman to play in FG history. Chemical Love FRCs are gonna take some time to get down for me. Not that hard though…
I love that name so much.
Chemcial Love…
Best move for any thing in any fighting game.
I dunno man, Demon’s Cradle is probably the best.
But yeah, I-No is great fun, especially that you have a simple strategy to fall back on. Having to run at full power all fight leaves a lot of room for Error. That being said, I’m also really enjoying Testament.
Never really used I-No much years ago but toyed around with her some earlier today. Definitely like the freedom I have with her, but not going to really pursue her until I feel I’m at a comfortable level with Sol and Jam. I’m getting Gun Flame FRCs (FRCs in general) a bit more consistently and whatnot. Also question:
What’s up with Jam’s uppercut overdrive? If you FRC/RC it, the following combo seems to do insane damage (as if it’s not being scaled at all). Is it just the initial hit making me think I’m doing far more damage than I really am or is it something else?
I had an hour long session with @Guru, got matches in… Only D/C once and no lag in any of the matches.
Super Turbo, on the other hand, we d/c every 2-3 matches, and there’s enough input lag that I can’t react to s.lk him out of his Honda headbutts… Which is something I do 100% of the time on GGPO.
I live in NY, he lives in Canada.
