Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- one of life's gilty pleasures

I’m coming from an xbox 360 so this game is literally deciding whether I buy a ps3 or ps4.

Well there’s a choice here which is a big difference. Like the others said, looks like it’s going to be a matter of whether performance falters. Which it sounds like it might considering the hype behind the arcade board.

I-no liking it up the ass makes her even hotter.

I like how Slayer new Undertow looks, though I still prefer the old one…for nostalgia reasons I guess.
His Pilebunker has no range now. It better fucking deal stun. Or it could change later on, who knows. Good to see footage.

Still kind of find it disappointing characters are for the most part based around their #R versions.

Well according to some posts on DL, a few do seem to have some things from later versions (e.g. Millia being able to airdash her j.D).

That said, it is best to approach this game as a continuation of #R.

IIRC, #R is the last game Daisuke worked, so it seems logical for him to start from there. Don’t quote me on that though.

My grip with that is that everyone on #R feel like incomplete characters not to mention that the balance was atrocious

Eddie was god in #R (1 hit death, worse than AC), RoboKy was up there too. Slayer was up there (FDC bite loops all day, FDC and BDC were way too good despite his damage being unparalleled). Bridget had good hurt boxes and damage output. Faust was good, and it looks like they toned him down too which is cool. Ky will be cool because he can do his corner uppercuts again.

If you’re gonna make the game like reload, please balance Eddie and Roboky. I see they already fixed Slayer, though the player not trying to FDC stuff leaves potential since he still might have it.

Eh #R not THAT bad, and just because they are using Reload as a base doesn’t mean it’s going to be much of anything like Reload.

Edit: The new hit effects to Riot Stomp are cool. He like hits them into the ground and then they pop up again and bounce off the wall. Really like it :tup:

I wonder if this will have the button hold trick (that repeats the input for multiple frames). I never realized how awesome this feature was til’ I played P4a/BB online, makes performing a lot of combos in lag much easier.

The character select screen is great. Really liked seeing the models and their colors pre-match. I wonder why no one is trying Sol’s new air kick in mid air combos?

The thing about #R is that even if characters were better in it than they were in AC, they were really boring in comparison though. Especially Robo Ky and Eddie.

And still doesn’t mean they will be anything like they where in #R, we’re already seeing new moves or changed properties to existing moves.

Its also the loketest… alot can and probably will change.

I do agree I hope Slayer Pilebunker changes, right now it seems like its the range on his ex slayer pilebunker. I wanted to see bite loop : ( also what move did he YRC? it looked like DHD but maybe it was Footloose?

Perhaps, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t/can’t be worried. They are throwing away a lot of good things by going backwards, is natural for people to be worried/annoyed/etc by this choice, specially because not many are fans of #R to begin with.

People are allowed to be worried, but it doesn’t have to be all gloom and doom, and for as much as they are removing they are still adding stuff. Its just so hard to say whats going to happen at this point. We don’t even know how many more characters they are going to announce
