Yeah, I’d expect at least the GG/GGX roster to make it in. Although I’d miss the likes of Zappa, Slayer, I-No, OSol and A.B.A. Hell, I’d even miss Bridget.
Oh who am I kidding, I’d be a little sad if anybody got nix’d. GG’s roster is too wild and wacky, even if you remove one dude it’ll be a travesty because each character brings something so freakin’ unique to the table. Buuuuuuuut like all sad things, eventually you’d get used to it.
First thing is get Chemical Love down pat on both 1p and 2p side. Once you can get it no problem you should practice 5k>CL, learning this fairly tight link will ensure that you are doing the input correctly and fast enough.
I would then suggest learning non CL6FRC6 combos. Like, J.K>J.S>2S>2H>CL and the corner combo J.k>J.S.>6P>5H>J.H>S.Dive>c.S>J.S>J.H>K.Dive (definitely gets character specific so you will have to experiment and adjust as needed.)
The input that I use for -rising dash > air dash- is 66956.
Definitely practice the FRC point for CL in the midst of all this, but I would hold off on practicing actual CL6FRC6 combos until you’ve learn the more basic stuff.
I know how to learn a character lol. I know basic combos that at least work on the characters I fight most often, and at least on the P1 side I can input everything cleanly and quickly. I can do 66956, but just not when I really need to, and definitely not into fastfall VCL Oki.
I can 6FRC6 about 1/10 of the time, and there are even times where I can do it 5+ times in a row. I freaked my shit when I improved something like 6P>5H>HCL 6FRC6>j.S>VCL>5H>HCL 6FRC6>j.S>VCL>cl.S>j.S>j.H>K dive. Probably not the exact combo, but the double FRC shit was legit. I just need to get the consistency up. I can FRC it plainly like 95% of the time though, so I guess I should be happy about that.
In my little notepad of shit I’m using to keep track of things about her as I learn, I have a section at the top about things I should work on. Right now it’s a general:
I should thank you for some of the games we played with my Slayer vs your Ino. They taught me things I was instantly able to recognize when I started learning Ino 6 days ago. This character is a lot different than Slayer, where I can just press a button, get a CH, and there goes 60% life into corner carry, and knockdown+oki.
One real question though. Is it recommended I learn the TK/JI motions as a 360, or am I fine doing 5K>632146 9K, assuming I can do it fast enough?
What ever works for you. But I would practice getting the least amount of inputs needed. Less inputs = less work. But that’s beside the point. It’s about practicing control, knowing where your hands and fingers are and where they are going. Kinesthesia. Practice control, you don’t need to practice lazy to be lazy.
edit: And personally, I do K>CL as 6321476. It’s two motions, Forward clockwise to up-back and up-back to forward. Rather than 6321469, which is forward clockwise to back, to forward, to up-forward.
Holy crap- looks freakin awesome…and the character models are huge.
I played a lot of Gulity Gear years ago and loved… butI had difficulty getting into Blaz Blue this generation because I was so busy with Street Fighter IV… But a new guilty gear is coming out…oh yeah I will make the time.
If they have been working on Xrd for a while, and with it using 3D models, as well? Maybe Xrd’s roster will avoid the “new ASW game curse” for once. It’d be one thing if we were talking about starting from scratch, with a new set of HD sprites, and it took about 10-16 months to make a single character. But going with 3D models should stand to make the labor of realizing a character and their playstyle much less tedious and time-consuming, since the extra step of tracing over various frames of animation with pixels no longer applies. (Which I think is the point of going in this direction.)
…Or at least, that’s what I would hope. I’m sure ASW realizes that they should do everything in their power to avoid a SNK-style “No Mai No Buy” situation on their hands. And unlike SNK, at least they only have to worry about 20+ characters if they wanted to try and capture the entirety of the roster from the previous game.
Yeah but they’re saying they’ll talk more about the game at next e3. Which would be a solid 6 months into both consoles life spans, and when it does come out; probably a solid 1-2 years into the consoles life span; we may see the ps4 becoming something commonly seen in tournaments.
AC is my first fighting game, so I’m probably biased, but that’s my favorite.
Hey Tataki, if you see this, what sort of information do you usually need for a GB episode? I know Slayer stuffs. I’m confident in my knowledge, but scared of saying something wrong/stupid. Worse case scenario, someone like Koogy reviews the script and fixes any of my mistakes.
Since i sincerely belive that this game wouldn’t be around 2015 (in arcades at least) i think that a next gen release is very likely, plus to me the game screams next gen anyway. I am not sure that the ps3 and the 360 would handle it well.
I know AC Slayer well, and know that he’s more of the same in +R, but with a more offensive reversal with FB Dandy, and more homogenized combos. His H button has changed a lot, but they still fit the same utility. At the very least, if I’m not what you want, I’ll help in any way I can.
