It’s only the AC ports on everything but 360/PS3. Slash #R and XX are fine. Most people did not notice the difference, but it did affect them. They just attributed it to something else, like “Oh, man I suck so much!” etc. The difference is kinda like turning up or down turbo in ST by a notch, maybe even less. For me, the difference was enough that I stopped watching jap vids cause something was off between what I was seeing and what I was playing. And I nearly quit the game when I finally figured out the port was screwed up. Years of developed muscle memory suddenly made obsolete.
Everyone who started on PS2 and continued on to the next-gen port all say that FRC’s are sooo much easier to do.
I fucking suck at I-no. Only four days into the learn process though. Fuck fighting against Venom. It’s like I-no comes in and ask politely if she can start her offense. He just looks at her and says, “No, here’s my balls.”
I started a notepad doc to write down things as i learn them, as far as normal/special usage goes, weird situations they can bring, what beats them, misc. techniques she can do (fastfall VCL), matchups, and combos. LETS SEE HOW FAR I CAN GET IN JUST A MONTH!
Well get used to it because I-no’s neutral against grounded opponents kinda sucks. Stay mobile and poke with the note and CL to force them off the ground and engage you at angles where you can push your good buttons and win, like 6P, j.P and j.H.
Try to search on forums etc. to find someone who lives close enough (~several hours driving distance) to you. If you do, you’ll say that the online will perform pretty well.
Step one to fighting Venom, prevent him from setting up balls. Chains and pokes canceled to a Ball are always frame disadvantage for Venom, and can be punished with I-No’s HCL if you instant block, varies with distance. Your HCL has travel time, if he spaced further away, you would instead use your frame advantage to reposition and zone him away from his Ball or punish him if he tries to hit his Ball.
However with so many tools - Note, Chemical Love, STBT, Dive - All of which work particularly well against Venom, you should not be struggling to get in, more than likely you are being too impatient or too predictable (probably both).
I’m aware that it’s both of these. Plus I know what I need to work on (aside from 6FRC6 to ensure I get the most damage from my combos when I get in.)
I’ve got to get used to doing 632146 on the 2P side. I need to get used to doing Hoverdash~Airdash, since the motion feels fucking weird…at least when I try to do anything after it really. I need to lrn2space with her. I need…
Well, I’ve got to learn the character still! I feel good about learning her though. I feel I’ve set my mind to it, so now I just have to clench my jaw and take the punches. I sort of understand what I need to 6FRC6 consistently.
I probably shouldn’t, but I don’t 360 the CL inputs to jump install them. I do the motion cleanly, 6321469K. I can do it off of a 5K on the right side, but I’ll get used to everything in due time I suppose.
Since Justice got totally reworked in +R. Maybe Arc would use that play style for another character? Like Mech Valentine? She’s basically Justice with chainsaws.
And we all know the Unreal engine is great at rendering chainsaws.
