I was intending on buying the US PS4 version if I buy anything, due to the EU release still being unknown, but now I don’t know if the DLC is region locked or not.
Then make a US PSN account for the DLC then. It’s not like it’s hard to do so for the PS4.

TL;DR - americans. Americans like to “identify” with the characters (I can be big and muscular too!) whereas local Jp audience are more into the pervy/eye-candy aspect. Euros sit somewhere in-between.

I did, bought copy for my PS1 back in the day. Actually bought the game again when it came out on PSN as a PS1 classic.
The original game had some cool asthetics, songs, and story elements. Gameplay was trash though.
It’s fun if you ever wanted to play Hokuto no Ken Guilty Gear.
I’m not sure how you missed the part where I mentioned Millia being top tier. Maybe you’re struggling with the concept of top tiers that require work to be competent at a decent level? Millia’s not the only one like this in Xrd, but she is perhaps the most extreme example.
Zato might be worse because he’so unusual, but dunno.
