That’s kind of how all the new characters look. I’m more than willing to accept them for what they are, but they don’t feel very guilty gearish. Her design would look way better if you took away that dumb ass hat and changed the skirt from the shitty poof thing. Its like they started with a workable bust then went “oh fuck it, make it moe.”
Well, in fairness, putting them side by side does show the differences in the game’s art styles/direction. I mean, sure you can see the influence of modern anime design tropes, but IMO she isn’t as full of that as the actual BB cast. Also helps that she has the exaggerated design elements (spikes, buckles) that more typical of GG designs.
same here. i didn’t like her at first but the crazy swords that float around her and that dress with teeth on it that actually can attack is pretty cool. i don’t like these animal ears on them but whatever. not a fan of Elphelt’s visual design or Bedman’s but there’s enough cool looking characters that i don’t mind so much.
I agree, though I would argue that Rachel herself would be cool as a GG character. So even is Elphelt was influenced by Rachel, that wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.
The similarities only go as far as both characters being female, both wear a dress(one of which is based on gothic lolita fashion witch predates both characters), they have some tie to roses, and MAYBE Els hat and Rachels hair ties looking similar to ears. And El is a Valentine, which, at least starting with Ram for the current shape, seem to be a trend for the clones. Honestly, you showing them side by side showed how different the characters really look.
Well that only makes sense considering the Sega Ringedge 2 is slightly more powerful than a PS3, which means to put it on PS3 you’d have to scale it back, but to put it on PS4 you ca go nuts.
