I was with you until you said Tekken, more than a year, and grasp in the same sentence.
And as much as I hate SF4, same shit applies, that game is deep and takes a lot of match up knowledge and it took quite a while for characters to flesh out.

When I say tekken I don’t mean dicking around with your friends at the house hitting launch into w/e combo, I mean tekken crash level of skill. The only American that is close to that is maybe Emphy. Also, GG has no M.bison/honda/blanka characters that you can pick up and play over a weekend.
I dunno Ky, Sol, slayer, and Jam are pretty pick up and play.
Testament really isn’t that difficult either, he’s more of a zoning style of character but most people that play fighters seriously shouldn’t struggle with him. Potemkin is also pretty easy, but only in favourable match ups, you really have to work in unfavourable ones but that’s the same with grapplers in pretty much any game.
My point was, it’s him stating an opinion as a fact.
Playing Testament at a basic level isn’t too hard. He has some simple tools to deal with a lot of stuff. He definitely has a lot of room to get technical though (which is going to take me ages to learn/relearn)

I play but I only had it on ps2 against my scrub cousin. Guilty Gear is a great game that more people should play.

I am looking forward to its release as I only ever played it with like 15 other people my whole life. Just want to be able to have a new pool of potentially good players. For a while, GG > basic hygeine for me. It was a low or high point in gaming for me, depending on how you look at it.
