So where’s the Guilty Gear scene in south texas? Specially the Mcallen, Harlingen, and brownsville area? I am tired of not having that many people to play Guilty Gear with, as that is my main game.

So where are you guilty gear players? Post here if you play guilty gear or are interetsed in learning it, we need a place to gather up and have some casuals so we can organize a guilty gear scene.

So anyone interested in some games post here!~ And even if I said specially Mcallen, harlingen, and brownsville, it doesn’t have to be there, as long as you can find a way to gather with us here in south texas.

Ugh, I guess you guys are right. This attempt was useless. Seeing as how fighting games are dead in the U.S. or something. And the only fighting game people seem to want to play these days, and the pasts days, and probably the future is MvC2. :frowning:

I dunno why the U.S. hasn’t dropped that game D:. Japan dropped it rather quickly and it never shows up at SBO, and it won’t. x.x…

I’m trying to get the Corpus people to play… but they don’t seem to be in the mood most of the time.

I think the main issue with this is that:

  1. I don’t live in corpus, I live quiet far from it actually =/

  2. When that “one person” does not show up, then theres no session. Hes usually not busy, but he seems more interested in Ragnarok than Guilty Gear.

And what sucks is that there is a good amount of players that play GG there…

around how many people play in corpus? I thought there was some players in harlingen and mcallen area, but I guess I was wrong.

There were a few people from Harlingen who did attend the Guilty Gear Slash tourny at the tourny I hosted a while back.

I’m unsure of there names, but there reason in why they never played was due to lack of comp. If your able to post up that your interested in playing Slash in the Harligen topic or getting some sessions going, then something should come up. I think the only problem in this is that you don’t have a car, furix.
Meh, thats how I got the corpus GG scene going. I’m usually the one setting up sessions over there, which is kind of odd =/

Theres about 5 GG players who take the game seriously in Corpus, but they only attend to the big tournies (Texas Showdown, none have yet to attended to any regionals or small tournies outside of Corpus).

I think people don’t realize the kind of comp they are getting for GG, yet never play because they believe there is no scene in there town (when in the end, there actually is). In the end, it seems that some people are just not interested in this game…

AS far as harlingen goes its only me and burgers(danny-shizuma_15) that play. Demon jim used to play as well as a few others but sadly no one likes gg. I tried to get people here to play but no matter how much I try no one wants to take the time to learn the mechanics.

It really sucks cuz the only 2 fighting games im in to at the moment is gg and hyper fighter (aniversary,sp?) and I ill never get better cuz everyone I do play against plays the exact same way with none of the advanced shit being done to me so in the unlikely event I find someone who knows wtf they are actually doing id probably get my ass handed to me 5-1 lol. I did play yall before and it was interesting, maybe some day we can play again and I can get my ass handed to me:tup:

Oh yeah I played you. I am okay with the stick, but I am more acostumed to the pad. I was having a hard time against you I remember last time, until I picked up a pad. Sadly I don’t own an arcade stick, though I know how to use it better now. We should get some games going, bring burgers along too.

It sucks how no one seems to want to get into this game, when it’s obviously the #1 fighting game at the moment. I tried getting Luiz into it but he just cowered back to MvC2 D:…

Here in Bville there’s… 3 Guilty Gear players, 2 of which are good (Myself and my friend Alex, the testament user) one who rarely practices thus is not very good(that Axl player).

I myself am a dedicated A.B.A player now and have learned many new tricks with her. Also I heard of some people in bville that play the game, probably not at a competitive level yet, or well… not at a high level I mean, but if they are interested I am sure we could teach them and get the southern Texas scene bigger, I am sure that could help.

Now if only there was an arcade somewhere close by that had Slash, maybe that could attract players.

Oh and yes, Pozer, you are right, me not having a car is a big hinderance. D:… I wish I had one ;_;

Taking my HARP apart, I found out it was the PS2 that fried my HARP >_<
Seriously, how does a HARP fry someone’s PS2 port? And your power cables in the back of your PS2 were not only the wrong ones, but loose too O_o

Also, last year the Dallas crew hosted the GG tourny and the one that just past was hosted by Tim and Kai… which in the end the tourny was cancelled. The original guy who was supposed to host it kind of sucked, and didn’t really bother advertising it or anything.
All people wanted to play was there gay naruto, booooooooooooooo!
