From the matches I’ve seen…the margin or life is not that much…now when I see these vids your talkin bout…then I’ll give change to what I’ve said…how bout you provide the name of these threads you speak of…instead of making it seem like I’ve watched the same vids you’ve seen…that would be most helpful…looks at this character by the name of FINAL SHOWDOWN
Or you can just provide the link to the vids…and let me see for myself…
your a idoit I did post a thread… Also your the one that said you “If Ky is losing in the vids that you are about to view…or have view already…its not by alot” or need i remind you. Key sentence there its not by a lot. Sounds like you know whats happening.
I’m unable to view any vids from the link…I don’t know what to click on and I don’t wanna download the Japanese on my work computer…I haven’t seen Ky perfected…I only assumed he was viewing the sames vids…
A couple of weeks ago they had Ky vs Chipp and I believe chipp perfected the orange green ky that has vids up there regularly. That’s just one example and I am pretty sure of it. If any of you have the vid (orange green ky vs white black chipp) just check it for confirmation in case I’m wrong.
I think in the short term, which is before console Slash… Ky is definiately a great character. I think you’re somewhat downplaying his potential, but you do play Ky more than anyone else in America competitively (love to Heidern98 ;_;).
I think Ky is still solid, and his new stuff really compliments his design well. Is he the best character in the game? Hardly. Does he still have holes and weaknesses? Of course! But I think at this point, where the game is very basic and not too complicated, he’s definiately top 5.
Yeah, this is pretty true. I can start a basic K,H, MF combo with little tension and have enough for ji DB combos by the time I dash after the hit. I’ll have to check the jackhound + air combos for damage, I haven’t used that too much…
Swap Discs still require a little bit of modding in order to work, depending on the type of PS2 you have. It’s not as much as soldering a chip, but for example with the fliptop mods, it involves replacing the top of your ps2 if you have the large model, or just replacing the lid of the slim PS2. There are also other options, like slide-cards and such.
Simply put, there is no “mod-free” way to play imports, but there are methods that involve less modding.
An answer to all import playing problems(japanese anyway). I have one and I didn’t have to put a mod chip in my ps2 in anyway. It plays all my imported ps2 stuff. You do have to do some work like rip out the ps2 tray cover thingy with the ps logo on it. The instructions to it is pretty lousy due to poor picture quality. Have someone teach you or get a tutorial video online.
Oh and 1 more thing,
you need to find yourself the SMALLEST F-IN’ flat-head screwdriver! Like the ones used for glasses.
Yeah, no shit.
I really don’t find the point in replacing the lid for the slim pstwo when you can easily tape down those switches for like… $2 (thats how much the tape would cost)?
