Guilty Gear Slash

Yeah since when did ky win 70% of his matches? I’ve seen alot of ky matches and he wins maybe waht 40% hell less than that IMO. “He won” alot of matches when slash was first released but now I see mostly Baiken and Faust winning 70% of their matches.

stfu all of you, ky collects tea cups

what arc systemworks really needed to do was give dizzy a instant kill:

dizzy takes her top off.
the background turns into space.
meteor showers all over the screen.
everything explodes.
DESTROYED.

arc systemworks, take my suggestion in next guilty gear plz

All they’ve done to Millia is taken the ease out of her combos and setups. That’s it. The throw has an extra 1.5x stun modifier now. I got more dizzies in one night of playing Slash than I have ever gotten otherwise. Two CH’s and a throw, and you’re dizzy. Given her combo damage, you’re fucking dead.

Oh, okay. You teched her throw, but you know what? You’re backturned. Instead of a guaranteed knockdown, you now get extra stun and a spacing guessing game. But since the other guy is on the defensive because he’s teching, he has to guess where to move. You both have to guess, but if Millia guesses right after the throw and you guessed wrong, there’s several ways she can make you hurt for doing what you did. She has all the options into conditioning you to do what she wants you to do. You can’t neutral tech (dumbass), and backteching leaves you BACKTURNED, so you can’t just hit her ASAP. Back-techers have gotten me MANY follow-up airthrows. Yes, it’s a tone down, but instead of thinking “omg she’s worse”, just think of things to do in order to compensate.

As far as her ground game goes, she got better. 2S into 5P whiff cancel is great, because it gives her frames. 6H will stuff greedy players for a CH and get them almost killed. 2S, 5P whiff into 236S is semi-safe, and stuffs quick moves for free wall combo and your potential death. 2S, 5P whiff, repeat is just annoying shenanigans and I haven’t seen anything reliable beat the damn thing yet that isn’t really obviously high-risk. Did I mention doing 2S, 5P whiff into 6K for CH lows into a combo into lots of hurt?

Her ground game got pumped UP in terms of options. Before, she had moves like 5S and 6K and 2D and such, but aside from poking or blatantly doing them (risky for 6K, as any fast mid will stuff it), you had no real way to set anything up. With a way to start frame advantage from a distance though, she now has ways to set up CH’s and frame traps that while annoying, force the defender to make a choice. That choice is either do something high-risk to try to beat my frame traps, or sit and take annoying 6K/2D/2S->5P guessing games all day. Backdashing is out, as 2S->5P whiff into 6H will catch all but the best backdashes.

In exchange, you just can’t throw the hairpin around like crazy all the time. If you do, it takes more micromanagement. You have things to figure out, but they’re risks. If you throw the pin, and the other guy sits on top of it all day, you have to make him move with the bubble. Because of the bubble fake, which she needed, she can try to get you to move safely, because by the time you realize she was really calling a bubble, you can’t react to it and she’s coming in for the pin, and for you. You could throw the hairpin around #R style, but it’s only really useful when they’re going to die with your next non-hairpin required combo.

I started by talking about the throw, but ended up somewhere else. Anyway, case in point is that the loss of knockdown off of a throw is crippling for her old cheapness, but at least with work you can safely harass your opponent after a throw anyway. It’s a different type of guessing game, and both attacker and defender have to guess, but the guessing game is in the favor of Millia.

You were better off lurking, stop posting.

I’ve been seening alot of crazy shit coming from I-No.
She seems to be making come backs before she dies almost as good as Eddie.

Anji is starting to become less popular as well ;(

I-no is the new queen of mixup, no mistaking that. Finally all of those I-no players who put in all of that work will have better rewards.

Also, I noticed that doing hoverdash into airdash instantly was pretty hard. Hitting forward, four times really fast? Yeah, fuck that.

some characters got kinda boring as a result of beefing up… i particularly feel this way about baiken (although i don’t play her).

it’s in chinatown a few blocks around from Chinatown Fair… here’s a basic idea…

sorry i took a while to respond

Well on stick, this shouldn’t be much of a problem.

But the fact that shes allowed something like that fuckin’ scares me.
Its bad enough that even Ky’s mix-ups work here in america.

On the sticks I tried it on, they have a larger travel than the sticks I’m used to playing on. That, and I’ve never tried 6666 before. With practice, it won’t be a problem. I’m just saying that I couldn’t do it straight up without effort. It’s hard to get her high enough in the air, and then doing the second 66 before she goes below the minimum airdash height.

Anyway yeah, I-no is very frightening. She has so many new options, and her combos are just flat out more universal now. Granted, she still lacks a good mid-screen move that she can abuse and advance with, and no really good frame traps to speak of. It’s like, with her and Anji, they’ve given the characters without amazing options outside of a knockdown, AMAZING okizeme, and almost nothing to compensate for their lack of good space-control before. That’s a good thing, as it keeps those characters in a scrub-free category. Anji still has nothing to threaten his opponent with at a distance, and I-no is still inoperable at mid-screen. The rewards for getting in now for them, are potentially round-ending though. Johnny is now a really big deal because he doesn’t need to hit with a coin in order to do monstrous damage. A really good player will be able to hit-confirm doing 2K->2D (which combos now), Jackhound, aircombo. It also makes any poke into MF a much bigger threat than before. Doesn’t he get increased tension gain on MF hitting as well? Means he can practically start a combo with no meter and get enough for the FRC DB.

HOOOOOO-RAAAAAAAY!

Man you guys post to fast.
I quit this game.

I don’t think boring is the right word. I don’t really have any room to talk though because all I do is play the game not do the math. I’ll have to wait till I play the game before I can talk about it.

about the vids: Now that you mention it, I have seen really cool i-no matches. Question to AKA, is slash millia better and sorry if you made it clear I just want a clear answer?

from what i’ve seen in these matches… the game is unbeatable in terms of gameplay…

hah thats all you can say?

weak

She is slightly worse at this point. In the end, loss of j.H and throw knockdown make her not as ridiculously life-threatening off of any little hit. That was where her strength lied, in getting a trap off of any little hit. It’s much much harder to get a trap now. So no, she is certainly worse, just not by MUCH. Absolutely a candidate for top tier by the end, in my opinion.

And we are glad for this.

I appreciate the reply. Thank you.

Once the tier list shows that she is top tier, let the bitching begin!!!

yeah thanks…most of us cant read it though,Kyohei said it’s like daily update of where slash vids can be found the name of the sites but no urls.
…like to able able to could read it…I guess you are seeing much more slash vids then us then,I’ll take your word ky is losing most then.

Ky sick period…even if he does lose…the margin of the loss is not extensive at all…he does have a few rounds under his belt before the match is over…If Ky is losing in the vids that you are about to view…or have view already…its not by alot…he can come back from that…IMO…“Only a Real Master…”

A no… Ive seen ky in his fair share of matchs where he gets perfected acctauly. And the match isnt even close. How do you know how ky played and how much life he had in the matchs that ive seen and you havent seen anyway looks around confused

why dont you just go watch those videos in threads like that, and see for yourself.
