Target combo nerf sucks but the universal game change to -6 on all overheads is a buff to Guile really.

How hard is the dash > st.lp x2 > boom part? Thatās probably the bit where Iāll struggle the most at first. Or is that part a lot easier now his jab has an extra active frame?
yeah, thatās probably the hardest part of the combo. One thing I noticed that can make it easier is to very slightly delay the lp break that you do before you dash in for the s.lp > s.lp part. Iām using a Hitbox with a custom mod that gives me perfect b,f charges so it makes things a little bit easier for me.
After forward throw in the corner it leaves you outside of throw range and as far as I can tell you donāt have time to walk back into throw range before they can get a jab out. The nice thing is you get a host of meaty options.
It also appears that UDKās hurtbox got pulled up along with sobat. Low normals that UDK previously would not avoid now get avoided.
Fun bit of tech: Sobat avoids the hitbox on Juriās flip kick. Depending on your timing, both moves can whiff or you can flat out beat it. Very reminiscent of SF4 Guileās UDK vs. Chunās Hozenshu.
with St lk being 4 frames maybe we can punish ressenha with a flash kick combo?

Guile
Adjustments have been made to Guileās unique attacks, such as decreasing the hurtbox around his feet during the Rolling Sobat and increasing the advantage on his Knee Bazooka and Reverse Spin Kick. By increasing the strength of these attacks, there should be an increase in the amount of unique moves used during footsies.

Guile can special cancel s.lk. The cancel is really difficult for whatever reason. Not as easy as s.lp/c.lp
c.lp > c.lp > s.lk > FK works, even midscreen
s.lk > SB only combos up close
Thatās kinda nice. Shame itās been nerfed on block.
Do the changes to flash kick mean itās less likely to trade with air to airs now?
So st. lk is the longest normal you can cancel into boom now right? that plus itās now 4 frames and booms are plus 2 is probably pretty good for blockstrings.
One other thing - does sobat now go over Chunsā slide strong? Sounds like it does but I want confirmation.
I just tested against her c.mp. It goes right over it now. It doesnāt hit her but it causes the move to wiff. You can still sometimes get hit out of it if you do it too late.
I also just tested out Guileās 2 bar VT thing. I thought it was a nerf and everyone thought itās a buff.
If you just hit him with c.hkās he will just barely get 2 VTās in a round. He has like 2 pixels of health left. But if you combo him, like in normal situations, he will die before he gets 2 VTās. This essentially means that his V reversals are more expensive now, since he wont always be getting 2 VTās a round. Guile will have to be using Vskill if he wants 2 VTās. V reversal expense just went from 33% cost to 50% cost.
EDIT: I figured out why I was having trouble canceling s.lk into specials. Itās because of thisā¦
Input latency: Shortened the inactive frames on input confirm from 12F to 6F after the last key for a charge attack has been input
Iām leaving charge and letting the stick sit in neutral to press lk, then trying to do u+k for FK, but itās taking too long, more than 6f
This fucking sucks for charge characters IMHO.
EDIT2: UDK hitstun has been improve such that UDK > FK combos now with no special setups. Looks dope.

st.MP is now +2 on block from +3, 1 frame slower and more pushback on hit. All that just because itās +6 on hit now? Fuck medium medium then.
