Guile General Discussion: Go home and be a family man

It is unfortunate that sonic blade acts like Laura fireball and disappears on hit.

Oh god, that would be so fucking busted. You wouldnā€™t ever be able to jump at him. ._.

You gain v gauge on hit, it could either be with a boom or if you use it as a meaty or they jump into it.

Notice that the V-Skill changes shape towards the end of the animation too. I think that means something.

Pretty sure one of the UK guys said that they couldnā€™t get anything except lp off a CC UDK. Need to get into the lab, dammit!

When youā€™re already going to have a poking and AA game as strong as Guiles I doubt itā€™ll be unfortunate in the long run. Its unfortunate for Laura because her AA and neutral game is suspect before considering the fireball.

Guile with what would pretty much be a faster Birdie banana(that powers up his booms) would be a little ridic.

@MrWizard

can Guile get some love on the character boards. Let freedom ring.

I do not mean unfortunate as in it will be bad. It actually looks like one of the better V-skills since it will be useful for his general gameplan unlike some. (Looking at you and your shitty v-skill, Mika)

His Vine is out. Dee Jay has already contacted his legal team.

watch out or guile will defeat you with his powerful style of martial arts

also about time they started teaching pro wrestling to the army

Is that a cr.lkxxst.hp xx f.hp target combo I see? Will only work on them standing (unless st.hp forces stand) but that could be nifty.

The USAF fighting using pro wrestling would be the best shit ever.

Walk speeds on average were a LOT faster in both directions for SF4 vanilla, however with ultra walk speeds forward were slightly faster in 4 slightly slower backwards in SF4. Dashes were noticeably faster as there are more 16~17Fs while SF4 average was ~18F and backdashes are faster in SFV thanks to no invincibility they could do this safely. Dashes seem farther in SFV but Iā€™ve never tested. Jumps are slower other than Chun/Bison (same/1F faster). Ryu/Ken has 36 air frames in SF4, 38 in SF5, Gief 37 vs 39, Sim 59 vs 64, Vega 35 vs 39, Cammy 36 vs 39. Basically the average is about 2~3F slower than SF4.

There are, however, more variations on walk speeds and more distinct difference between a fast - average - slow character.

Example: Ryu is 0.047/0.034 IN sfv while 0.045/0.03 in SF4. Faster. However a character 0.035/0.03, like Gief, was considered slow. Yet Gief/Birdie are 0.0305/0.0235 and 0.031/0.024 respectively. Nash is slower than unoiled Hakan. Dhalsim is slower than SF4 Dhalsim.

pretty sure i saw imstilldadaddy pull a cr.mp off.

Character health and stun ratings? Anyone have any info on this?

Havenā€™t seen any official / confirmed numbers, but I checked a couple frames from the WSO video when they had attack data turned on, and it looks to me like 950/1000 (H/S). It may be 950/950, it was harder for me to tell with how small the stun meter is compared to health.

Yeah and he said it had to be CH too, except in the first few seconds of the compilation video homeboy lands CH UDK into stMP.

Their showcase was whack. Looking forward to Capcom Pro Talk to really see what Guile can do.

definitely looks like 950 hp to me too

I thought they did ok. They said themselves they were told specifically not too go to far with sitting in training mode trying stuff.

CPT is gonna be done out of Mike Rossā€™ bedroom at this rate lol. He lost so many turbos that they wonā€™t let him in the building anymore.
