Buy Seimitsus and do your art. You’d have to try pretty hard to be dissapointed with them.
Yeah, from what I’ve heard, Seimitsus are supposed to be somewhere between Happ and Sanwa in terms of sensitivity, right? I guess that’s not bad then. I’ve only ever had a chance to try Sanwa buttons, and I was kind of indifferent towards them (of course, I did prefer the stiffness offered by the Happ competitions). It’s the joysticks that I’m particularly fussy about, as I can scarcely stand to use anything other than an IL Competition.
thanks for the great tut. def gona use this
Timstuff I have a couple of those clear Happ clones and the colors are kind of ugly (green and yellow), but I never wired them up to a stick. Seimitsus are great though… You’ll get used to them unless you’re ultra-picky.
i can’t tell if you have artwork under there.
Seimitsu PS-14-KN 30mm Pushbutton…
so the clear one has clear button part…do the other colors like red have a red (but still transparent button)?
or is there a red piece of paper underneath the clear plastic?
so if i put artwork under the red button, would it have a reddish tint to it?
Thanks,
ok so if the picture inside the button isnt aligned with the original art on the box how would one go about srt8in it out? do the buttons turn once they are installed or somethin?
Skitso if they are snap-in buttons you’ll need to remove and reinsert them. Screw-in buttons can just be rotated.
thx man
The coloured ones are still transparent and they don’t have coloured paper in them.
Very helpful, thank you. Didn’t know this was so simple to do. Bookmarked for later use.
If I use normal printer paper for the art inside of the buttons will it wrinkle after time of is it better to use photo paper or kinkos also how thick can the art be in the buttons I may use material if I can find what I’m looking for
SO I ordered some PS-14-G-Ns today, with the Black Rim and Clear top. Those will work for artwork right? thanks
Haha! Thanks!
SO you ordered something, not knowing if its really what you want?
makes sense…
I thought I read on here that they will work, but now that I have read through this thread I cant seem to find it. I thought I read that all the Seimitsu buttons with clear plumgers can be taken apart to add art…
yes… if it has a clear plunger then you can put art under it
this was really helpful. thanks
The whole process was relatively easy. IMO just putting in new buttons is harder than putting art into the buttons. Anywho, I’m glad I used clear buttons only for the farthest right buttons on my SE stick. Turns out I don’t like the feel of Seimitsu buttons.
Would 90 lbs. cardstock paper be too thick to put in the seimitsu buttons?? If so what would be the recommended type of paper, I’m installing it on a TE with plexi cover. Thanks
Thanks for the guide. Really very helpful.
