Guardians of the Galaxy film, updates

Yeah that made me lol and feel old at the same time

“Yeah, I’m in two Marvel franchises, in the first one I play a tree that only says 3 words. I ended up doing it in 9 other languages for shits and giggles. In my other role, I can’t talk or planets blow up. It’s like two paychecks to do one acting job!”

Black Bolt is like the gun you save until the final boss. Hope that movie turns out well.

With all the superhero movies going big (and I know this isn’t a Marvel book), I’d love to see either an Invincible movie or a TV/Netflix series. I love how it balances the classic “Superman” archtypes of characters and makes it for more mature readers without it becoming the gimmicky, overly-mature alternative like a lot of Image books end up going.

Invincible vs. Conquest is still one of the best fights I’ve ever read in comics.

For a second I thought you said “Irredeemable” and was confused about the part in bold. I’ve heard good things about Invincible, never checked it out though because I don’t really care about “cape” comics.

I’m really not into as you put it “cape comics” either, but the art seemed pretty good and since comic book art is something I’m looking to add to my skillset I gave it a shot. It’s a legitimately amazing series.

For the record as far as Image goes, I read Invincible, Carbon Grey, Black Science and Rocket Girl. I think any of those could transition well to the screens.

him being Black Bolt makes sense. They get to troll cinema’s with the same guy only speaking 5 total different words, and they probably convinced Vin to play Groot by agreeing to let him be Black Bolt as well.

I think it was probably the other way around. Either way I’m already thinking who could play Medusa and Maximus. Hyped for a CGI Lockjaw.

Brock Lesnar will play Lockjaw

Finally saw the movie yesterday and the hype is real. The movie was great and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I’m a Marvel head but GotG is not one of my fav but this movie made me want to catch up on them. The right balance of comedy and action is a rarity and they knocked it out the park. Batista was the surprise to me cause he kept up with the talent we was surrounded by. I know its been said a 1,000 times so here is 1,001, Rocket stole this movie and that’s saying something cause everybody was so good. Even Thanos who only showed up for 2.2 seconds showed how much of a badass he is and is going to be once he gets more screen time.

Can’t believe two of my least favorite Marvel franchises (Capt America and GotG) ended up being some of my favorite Marvel movies. Can’t wait for Avengers 2!

Rocket girl might work better as a animated series. Although my personal favourite at the moment is Boom studios…great library of comics IMO.

Hope they change his Father to Howard the Duck.

Star Lord’s dad changed to be that Nova cop guy?

…and now the franchise ruining creative changes are coming…oh well it was fun while it lasted.

i don’t read comics and didn’t want to see the movie because there was a talking raccoon which seemed dumb. but then everyone on fb gave it great reviews so i saw it and loved it.

they kept referring to thanos in the start of the movie, and for some reason it didn’t really register to me who they were talking about until i actually saw him. i think its because this didn’t feel like a marvel superhero movie, but instead an awesome space western. it didn’t even register with me this was a marvel movie as i was watching it. so even though they kept mentioning thanos, i couldn’t make the connection. so i nearly jizzed myself when i saw thanos on the big screen for the first time. he looked exactly like how i thought he would after playing msh and mvc2. imposing and menacing.

awesome movie. A++++. best marvel movie ever. its got the right mix of action + comedy + feels. the feels were strong. like the drunken rocket scene or the we are groot scene. really moving powerful stuff. i didn’t want to see the movie because of the raccoon, but he ended up being my favorite part of the movie. the visuals were gorgeous too, especially the shot of knowhere. the remains of a dead god? wow sick city, that’s some D&D shit right there.

How your post should look…

Asked about Quill’s father, Guardians writer/director James Gunn told Empire, ”It’s definitely not the character who it is in the comics, I’ll say that much.”

I have faith in Gunn doing this in an acceptable manner.

I went and saw this after everyone gave it great reviews. Well worth the money and one of the better Marvel movies for some time now. On the surface it’s easy to write this movie off(given the characters you have to work with), but it was very well written and the story actually worked out.

Still got me thinking who looks good to be portraying adam warlock after gunn confirmed it was him inside the cocoon.

oh noes. captain mar-vell is quills daddy.
