In the Nova corp each circle represents a rank with 3 being the highest. I doubt thats the case for this movie though since it seems like every ‘Nova’ in the movie has that 3 circle chest piece. Wish they added a bit more attention to detail with the ranking. Not really digging their look either. Film looks great so far but what bothers me a bit is the representation of the Nova corp as they were my favorite part of the cosmic universe. Oh well whatevs.
What got me about Starlord was how much he sounded like “Andy”. There is no “suspension of belief” of who the actor is. Frankly…I like that and it got me to like it a bit more than I thought I would. If they can deliver a solid Rocket Raccoon via trailers - then I’m sold. It so far looks like a good popcorn flick, which is not always a bad thing.

Can’t wait for the Rewind Theater. It’s the one thing from IGN I actually enjoy.

I already liked the song hooked on a feeling, an interesting choice of trailer music. I am sure Blue Swede appreciates the spike in iTunes downloads this week.

watched the trailer again last night, still was severely unimpressed, and ive said this before a long time ago, but rocket raccoon just looks like too raccoony. his umvc3 look is just perfect. they should have fluffed out his face more, and made him a bit thicker. he just looks like some puppet with a gun in his hand so far. id like to see another trailer soon, and see more of how they animated rocket. i’ll tolerate his new look if he looks good doing it. im also never going to be a fan of zoe saldana ever playing a bad ass. did she already waste our time doing that in shitty colombiana. fucking twig somehow whipping everyones ass without so much as fracturing a knuckle.
well in rewatching it, i wasnt as turned off by chris as i was at first, and im a big fan of his. i guess it just looks so low budget right now for a high budget film. hopefully the next trailer will expand a bit more. ugh, rocket is just so ugly. hes like a cute furry animal who will fuck you up in the comics, and he looks like it with his fluffy tail and face. in gotg he looks like some malnutritioned street raccoon who digs through wendys garbage cans.
Well like usual the Rewind Theater tends to help see how some odd choices were actually implemented and their possible meaning. Including the song choice.
They should’ve stuck with his UMvC3 voice, IMO.
