I hope they work on the car physics, keep some cars with their jelly suspension but have a few more realistic ones.
I swear, Rockstar really knows how to cast… GTA IV was a let down and bored me… I’ve still yet to finish and really don’t care to. I’m excited over the trailer released today and can’t wait to blow shit up… I have to. Blowing shit up in GTA wasn’t as exciting as some of the stupid shit you could do in GTA SA.
Although, there was a lot of enjoyment in launching oneself out of a helicopter to see how far you could fly and how hard you landed. Dunno if that beats jumping off the tallest building in Los Santos riding the hovercraft and gliding all the way to Grove St. though…

I really like the cast already, even with what little they revealed thus far. I think this may be a return to the GTA style I’ve grown to love over the years. San Andreas always had the other games beat in terms of location variety… I love Liberty City, but you can only do urban sprawl so much until it becomes a chore to traverse the city.
At least with San Andreas, you had changing scenery and a diverse set of locales to make all the zipping from place to place more dynamic.

Looking fuccin beautiful indeed… i KNEW the engine used for LA noire was just a test. That game was slow an dry… but the detail… i mean damn it was crisp and I see it all in this new trailer…
can not wait… what are the areas you think youve seen so far… ive seen canton, that park that you ran thru when you raced the chicken in san andreas an what looks like wheatstone (sp?) the area you where CJ was dumped at by tenpenny…

One of the perils of being a publicly traded company is the fact that you have to deal w/ greedy investors and put out mad dividends every fiscal year… R*: F’ that. We’ll put out 2K and a few decent sports titles to do our bidding. Our signature franchise though? We put in work.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a reboot of Midnight Club come to think of it. Every MC after 2 was disappointing and a return to the absurdity and over-the-top gaming of MC2 and GTA SA will gladly relieve my wallet of dollars… Many dollars.
would love another midnight club… definitely lost me as well… i always felt MC an GTA couldve had a tie in (cities, characters, etc.)
glad they are not putting out gta year after year… it would run the series into the ground… i say stick to their style… i even enjoyed the add-ons (ballad of gay tony and [S]sons of anarchy[/S] lost an the damned)… cause they damn sure put so much time into the environments an story it can hold over for a good time.
GTA V is looking very promising so far; especially in terms of quality and presentation. Can’t wait to see more!

I have high doubts that a good looking game like this could run even at 30fps on a 360 or PS3. Those trailers were probably uncompressed, and not realtime on a console.
I hope, somehow, that Samuel Jackson makes a return to the cast. Tenpenny was a great villain and Jackson did a terrific job coming across as a likeable asshole who deserved to die.
I think it’d also be interesting if they brought James Woods’ character back. Makes me realize how fucking lame Nico was…

I’m imagining 3-player drop-in co-op where all the players are just going off and doing whatever lulz they want separately in different parts of the map. Robbing a bank here, while having a mass shooting somewhere else, all while the third guy is off flying a plane into a bridge.
Though I thought the same thing I remember reading an article yesterday mentioning that it won’t have co op for the caaign
That wouldn’t be multiplayer playing together though so it probably wouldn’t be very different from playing single-player alone. Without that interactivity it kind of defeats the purpose of playing together. It’ll be cool if everyone comes together and does stuff but if not then what’s the purpose of it?
I guess it could be fun to develop chaos on your own and watch as the chaos develops into a mess of unseen proportions. Then a guy with a jet pack drops Fallout 3 atomic bombs over the whole thing. That could be fun.
I wanna see the absurdity once again make a return. The Truth missions, Mike Toreno, Area 69, Mt. Chilliad is back :). The missions in GTA weren’t very fun outside of a few (the bank robbery and museum shooting stand out as personal favorites) and that’s what I hope is changed in this iteration.
