Thanks cape. Modok and frank do have a lot of synergy, ffc setups included. I used to only do the DHC devil trigger setups or whiff survival tech to level up frank but was purposely avoiding having to use those methods to try and maximize the damage/meter efficiency/advantage afterwards.
The combo I posted is working well for me at the moment while leaving you in a position to extend the combo with MODOK after getting chainsaws. For example with MODOK/frank/dante you can end with photo, jam, photo, survival tech dhc hyper psionic blaster, backdash+shopping cart, cr.m, f+H, airdash forward j.s(bounce), l bomb, f+H
After that you can end with psionic blaster soft knockdown to setup an unblockable on the tech roll with jam session or go for an unblockable throw reset with jam session for the kill. If either of those hit you are very likely to kill the next character with a killer illumination/ffc setup on incoming, maybe the next two.
What is the trick to the Dante Sky Dance hard tag? I can’t consistently get Frank to whiff over them with the hard tag.
For reference, I have Strider / Dante / Frank and I’m doing Strider combo > Legion super > DT DHC > dash j.s > Beehive full hits > coldshower > stinger > sky dance
For the Skydance tag, look for a visual cue that lets you know where the bounce is gonna leave them in relation to Frank’s tag arc. It gets programmed after a while and I’m not on to lab it this second, but IIRC you’re going to want to start holding tag rightttt after the opponent hits the ground for the first time and bounces up. It’s definitely not the moment Dante lands (there should be a really small difference between Dante landing and the opponent, but it’s a significant one).
When you get the Skydance hard knockdown, the opponent bounces 3 times and then goes into the actual hard knockdown. The first bounce is the highest and the only one that is gonna give Frank’s tag trouble. Focus on delaying the tag and seeing what you can do from there. That knockdown lasts a veryyy long time, so try to get a feel for how long you can push it. The tag window’s fortunately pretty big, so you can delay it slightly more on big bodies and still do your thing. I can try to lab it for the exact visual cue if you’d like though. Maybe tonight I can post that up.
