^Cool Guy’s not that high level though, even though he’s one of the five captains of Suck(no pun intended). When Shiioon went up against Kangsung he got mud stomped. But he’s beaten Cool Guy before, though still with scrubby tactics. This time he was using BOT which greatly augmented his physical power as well as allowed him to keep pumping out ki, and so he trounced Cool Guy again.

I’ve looked through the raws for the rest of the manga, while it never gets truly “happy”, the boxing chick is so many leagues better than Chiharu it isn’t even funny.

Going back to BOTR for a minute, I funnily recalled how after the Beer garden stint, Chiharu remarked to Tanishi how he was so much better than Aoyama, and how she thought something was “off” with Aoyama. Well after all the latest revelations, it sure seems that Like attracted Like. Her and Aoyama make a perfect couple.

He did use BOT. Because of his shattered ki center, he didn’t end up going crazy as his ki can’t circulate. However it still had negative effects on him(causing him to almost lose consciousness several times). Also, BOT greatly augments one’s strength, as seen when he broke Bae Seung-Jae’s wrist with one punch.
Well, apparently N.A.D broke his ki center for more than one reason. Shi-yoon needs to step his game up on the real. I get tired of seeing the protagonist catch a magnanimous ass whipping and then come back with a victory shot. That’s just a complaint for most shonen’s in general to me…if I could find a martial arts manga where there were clear cut lines I’d be a lot happier. Like if the dude you’re fighting is stronger than you, than that’s it. Nothing outside of an act of God will save you.
I think Kenichi does that, which is one of the reasons I like it so much.
