Atleast now we know why it is called Mawan/Devil’s Medicine, the civilian suc members must be using it to to be able to use martial arts. Though it looks like the medicine does indeed kill those who naturally can’t use ki(which might explain why Shioon was able to survive it though Sera’s version was probably improved to remove the side effects)
but also logicfail, considering that Shioon just got attacked by a guy working for the martial arts alliance, why in the FUCK would you let him go to some shady ass meeting with “Saehee” instead of secretly tailing him, what the hell kind of bodyguard is the Southern Red Star?

He referred to Shioon as “The Ingredient” when talking to Shiho’s ex, that guy has always been shady as fuck.
Also don’t forget that Shiho’s ex said the medicine’s effects should’ve been able to be maintained permanently instead of disappearing after some time. Which Bae did not deny.
^If you keep what Shiho’s ex said in mind, that would raise the question why he hasn’t fixed Shioon’s ki center if he wanted protection. And note, he specifically told Shioon not to tell anyone where he was going as he feared Elder Kwon(why would he be afraid of Elder Kwon if he’s gonna restore Shioon’s center, Elder Kwon would actually be thrilled at that.)
Also the mere fact that he’s been giving his devil’s medicine to the SUC, and having Cool Guy guard the entrance should remove any pretense that Bae is a good guy.
