New Meguru
Meguru takes too damn long to be translated! I like it, but it has no momentum like this, especially since it shows “real” MMA fights which means text-less pages of grappling. It isn’t shitty like Ippo, but bleh.
I personally just want the Meguru/Takashi rematch at this point
Too early in the manga for me to care about anything like that, but I do like the characters.
I just started reading Holyland on angelpalms recommendation (This will be the second thing I’ve read due to that guy heh) and it’s pretty good so far. I’m up to chapter 10 when Yuu broke his hand. I really like how it breaks down how the fighting worked. That’s really cool. Only thing I’m not diggin is all the sideways text. i’m sure that’s a side effect of the translation but it’s a little tough to read on my computer screen. Gotta tilt my head heh. Some of the text in the speech bubbles that runs along the edge of the bubbles a little hard to read to. other then that tho so far I’m likin it. Really only just started, but it’s good so far.
I have Baki the Grappler pulled up to but I’m a little hesitant to start it knowing how hard the later chapters are to find. Does the first series of Baki have a real ending? I would be more inclined to read it knowing the first series has a definitive ending and wont leave me hanging into the second series.
They get a better editor later. I remember thinking that the text that was was retarded, but it was following the original japanese (which usually can be read from top to bottom).
Watch the baki anime, then read new grappler baki, then read what you can of son of ogre. The missing parts are retarded anyway. Each of the series are just the same thing, but following different phases in Baki’s life.
Yea i figured the structure of the editing had to do with the structure of the original japanese. Nice to hear is gets easier to read later.

The first manga isn’t fully translated anywhere except by this one fucking jackass who doesn’t share it. The anime covers the manga, and it is a good anime series overall.
