Yeah, I’ve commented on that phenomenon on another board before, because in some panels characters would look one way, and in another, they’d look like they had stilts in their legs, seriously wtf. 
, I don’t notice it as much in SoO or Baki the grappler, just in NGB.

SoO Baki easily, you have a lot more baki related scenes, and many of my favorite baki panels are from SoO(others being BtG), Baki didn’t have a lot of scenes in NGB honestly, even in the arcs he featured more in(Raitai and Ali Jr.)
I just personally didn’t care much for NG Baki’s attitude as well.

I personally liked the OVA a lot more than the anime series. For one thing, the first season’s animation quality varies between certain episodes, I mean hell the last ep. of Season 1 looked like it was an ep. of Death Note O_o. Also the action just seemed very fluid, and looked more painful than in the anime series.
Which studio did the OVA? Cuz for some reason it reminded me of what a good animated quality ep. of Dragonball Z for some reason.
Oh and about Shinogi…can you really make someone blind by ripping off the nerves in one’s NECK? I know Baki and Garouden tend to overexaggerate on stuff, which I’m fine with, but sometimes the overexaggeration makes sense…to an extent.
^No, the optic nerves are in your head, not the side of the neck, there were a few fans with medical knowledge who debunked that when the ova first came out. For shinogi to have actually did that, he’d have pretty much have to stab through baki’s temples or the surrounding area.
EDIT: To add, just the fact Baki fully recovered makes it even more exaggerated, as Baki should’ve lost some functionality in that arm and his neck, like if a person has a severed hand, they can get it reattached and gain most of the functionality back, but not 100%, so take that fight with an extra heaping of salt.

^Yeah he cut his cords by going through his neck in the manga as well, still a good fight, just pointing out why it wasn’t exactly accurate.

Doppo and Baki specifically haven’t fought, and apparently never will since Baki said he has no desire to fight him. Think that was in son of ogre, or at the end of New Grappler.
Oh ok. But baki did train with him right? And I had always wondered this question. Why was Baki and Yujiro considered “grapplers”? For the most part alot of their fighting style seemed striking based.
baki never trained with doppo. and that torrent file contains baki vol 8 and 9 and oyaji.
I’m really interested in this series after reading some of Garouden. If anyone can give me the link to the OVA I would greatly appreciate it.
Gimpy, Grappler in the Baki world refers to a complete fighter, basically a mixed martial artist. It’s a misnomer, since a grappler is really someone who does grappling specifically, but it worked for Itagaki so meh, you’ll notice later in the manga though that grappler’s very rarely used, as a matter of fact I can’t recall it being used since New Grappler Baki and the Baki The Grappler deluxe edition reprints.
I’m seriously having the hardest time trying to think of a creative Baki AV. Any advice would be useful.

But I still laugh whenever I decide to read the Ali Jr. fight and see the panel of Baki kicking Jr in the balls full throttle and all.
…and what else? It’s an 800 MB file, and those 3 make up around 150-200 MB, so I’d like to know more of it’s content to see if it has anything I’m missing:xeye:
