I went and preordered this game yesterday. They’re having a midnight release here so I’ll probably just go get it then. Ima go get that shit then smoke a fatty and then I may bust on you foos.
p.s. I really just want to know what system ya’ll are getting this shit on? Im gettin’ it for the box so if your getting it on that and arent on my friends list hit me up.
The first thing I’m going to do is set about finding that NRG900. In SA there was 3 NRG500’s just litterally 2 minutes sprint from the very beggining of the game. While it would be completely coincidental, it’s entirely possible those mofo’s are in the first city…
Yo on the real, i cant wait. Next week Im ready!! I haven’t been playing my ps3 because of Crisis Core but…Im ready GTA4 will be good times waiting for mgs4 release.
I cant wait to take it to the feds baby!! Im getting into a shootout with 5-0 right away!!
It went from GTA…to the phlucking Sims. I don’t want ot play no cot damn SIMS!. I don’t want to have to eat. I don’t want to worry bout a girlfriend or upping my aim or lifting weights or even my fuggin clothes. It wasn’t that there was too much to do…it was that there was too much to do that took away from what made GTA GTA…random ass carnage.
You don’t have to do that with SA, the game’s completable without beefing him up or customising him. I actually liked it, it gave you “something else” to do and for once, it was actually beneficial, if you could be bothered with it of course. It only takes a matter of 2 - 3 in game days to get him into good shape, you didn’t have to go all out beef core. Also he loses fat and muscle at a very slow rate, it’s not like that 1 pixel will do anything to harm your success. All it takes is about 30 seconds in the gym and you get that 1 pixel back. Piece of piss, nothing worth crying over.
I still think the game was good, III was obviously the most influential one of last generation, but after VC, imo, anything was better. I preffered that it had motor bikes, helicpters, speed boats, planes and all that extra shit that III didn’t have. VC had a nice veriety, but it was too small, far too small. Even Bully is a contender to be bigger than VC.
The only problem I had was that it was set in the ghetto. The setting wasn’t really a problem actually, but I would have preffered a different setting, like the New Liberty City for example. I thought the whole, “gangsta” theme was a bit cheesy at first, espcially after playing games which were more Italian/Godfather/Scarface related. But yeah, you soon get over it and I could fully apreciate it, it actually turned out better than I expected. Nice sized city areas, big open spaces to pick up some speed and a hell of a lot of vehicles.
III imo lacked so much of that, at the time it was the best, but once I seen what was possible in SA, III kind of felt like going back to training wheels.
I never had to worry about all that extra crap… as DD said, it takes 30 secs in the gym to beef up. Then it’s just pure rampages across the entire map using everything at your disposal.
All the extra shit was optional. You can’t use that to say the game sucks.
You didnt like that you gradually got better at Running, Swimming, and Shooting or that you could have your guy as jacked or as fat as you want? The eating was a little weird at times (especially when you were hungry at an important time) but it wasnt too much of a hassle. I get tired of seeing the same character on the screen so customization was a big part of keeping San Andreas fun for me.
Do you get to fully dress the dude in this game or do you just find outfits?
Yes its technically optional to do most of the stuff, but the concept of getting tired while running becuase your not in shape plays a part in the game…its not just ‘looks’ it DID affect play mechanics. Hell ALL of it affected the game outside of clothes and hair cut. So is it optional…yes…but your player will be affected by not doing it.
And yes I CAN not like the game/say it sucks from my perspective because of that as it completley disrupts the flow of the game and the story.
I hated jumping into boats in 3. The programmers made the boat not only rock but so damn small, it was very easy overshooting your landing space right into the water.
