I’m going to wait a bit to see how this plays out tbh.
I don’t know much about XSEED but the fact that Japan’s release date is in a week and we don’t even know when it’s releasing in NA doesn’t seem like a good sign.
I also don’t really want patches to come out in Japan and XSEED takes an extra week to push it through here… Not that I’m going to be competing against any Japanese players, so I guess it technically doesn’t matter, but that would annoy me.
Anyways, I kinda wanna wait and see how they handle it.

I preordered my copy, decided I didn’t want to spend over $100 getting JP PSN credit and stuff like that. Got the premium version, and I’ll be damned between the cost of it, Texas sales tax; then another $9 for 2-day shipping if it’s not close to that $100 mark. $95 is what this is gonna cost me, plus fucking wife aggro …

The Fausty Frostings tournament VODs got streamed by Spooky today with commentary. This is the release build apparently, some notes. no chip kill on supers now(other than apparently lowain SBA), but special chip kills still available. HUGE mobility buffs. The fast characters dash way faster, and Gran has CRAZY backwalk speed now, so he should be a shimmy god vs. characters with limited fast long range normals. The make or break is gonna be the netcode. Garou netcode is crazy good. Can barely go back to SF5, not sure if I’ll want to drop 60 on a bad netcode.
