Great gouken! love that corner combo/reset in the 3rd match second round. Your second linkl is identical. Would like to see match 2 at some point.
Shen, you shouldn’t be doing an EX palm after a juggled EX palm; the second launcher whiffs…buffer the motion for the second palm (preferably using Fierce punch) while the launcher is hitting, then press Fierce at the end…it’ll come out.
also, you’re not hit-confirming your EX palms…just blindly doing them (several times shown in the vids)…try Stand Fierce, then buffer the dragon punch motion during it, then press two punches if it connects…if not, just go into Demon Flip and continue to apply pressure that way.
You shouldn’t really try to cross up Gouken, since you know…he has Counter/EX Counter to cover cross-ups…lol.

Not a probem man, i appreciate it. These vids are about a week old. I do need to still work on not crossing up every chance I get. EX palm to EX palm is very bad, useless really, learned the buffer . I’m ganna try and have more updated vids sometime, hopefully showing improvements. Well, this goes for mirror matches.
Yeah he filmed those matches even before the Sikyo matches against myself. Good stuff.
try fighting against Blankas, Balrogs, Zangiefs, Sagats; I’d like to see what kinds of solutions you guys found.
Once Championship Mode hits this week, I’m sure we can have more recordings, which will be more convenient. keep up the hard work!
if i could record i would. i dont tend to have problems beating any of these characters. sagats slowness makes him easier to fight for me then ryus. when this “championship edition” comes out ill save the replays.

against zangief. This is a nice way to sneak in an extra light hadou and c.hp into combos that start with a deep jumpin.

wasn’t this already in the combo thread? It’s not all that useful cos as Siyko mentioned, u need to start with a deep jump in. Certain characters are doable from a FA -> dash -> s.HP ->combo. However, it doesn’t work with everyone and really not worth the risk. The tough part abt this combo in an actual fight is not really the combo itself, but trying to land the final hit that will take the opponent into stun which is the only reason why this combo can be considered useful. Damage wise, it sucks to the usual corner combos for Gouken.
^ it’s not about the damage; it’s all about the STUN. And Gouken stuns FAST.

damage wise, its slightly less than the usual EX-palm corner combos except that u use an extra 2 more EX for FADC.
