Went from 0BP to 1500+ today with Gouken,he is officially my favorite character. I suck at rushdown but goddamnit my counter-G is fierce. Love this character!
is it just me, or does the EXpalm dash into tatsu sometimes wiff after the 1st hit?

i have probs with his rush down iam tryna have a more agresive Gouken wacthin your vid gave me some insite on a few ways to get in a pressure them
it comes down to ur timing. U really dun want to use this combo unless u have the timing perfected because u can get punished if it only hits once.
3 bars and up I use the dash/tatsu. if it is worse than that, strong palm. i have problems landing fierce palm in poor network conditions.

If i recall correctly, most of the videos of ur Gouken are very offensive. Maybe u wanna do a defensive strategy and show how it can be done? Personally, i dun really like turtleling as Gouken but it is definitely an option and will happen especially against rush down players.

Great gouken SiYko! Those block strings are pretty effective against ryu to keep the spacing. I’ve heard that Blanka is a tough match for gouken but you handled him pretty well.
I also notice you use the FA quite frequently against jump in attacks rather than the counter. why is that? maybe i answered my own question but is it becasue most players playing against gouken will try to avoid hitting a gouken with a deep jumping attack?

to be honest, it’s easier to press than counter. I should use counter more in these situations, because FA would probably lose to empty jumpin as well.
