man desora is really aggressive with gouken’s FA. ive never seen that before. after seeing those crazy matches im really lookin forward to ae now.
Yea, he was aggressive to a fault. I can’t believe he tried to focus a chun li jump in. He went in on the guys that came after him though.
I’ve yet to see any goukens make good use of lp dashpalm, I’d like to see that balrog player whose supposedly top gouken atm. Was it pamyu?

at 14m10s are they kara fb’s?? they sure as hell don’t look like them… are the properties of mk differant now so they move you forward or is this something you have been able to do since vanilla??
It’s always been possible, so long as you cancel into fireball out of close. mk fast enough then you won’t move backwards. I do it from time to time, Desora uses it a lot. That shit aint safe though, it just looks intimidating, but you can get thrown out of it. Cl.mk is better this time around though.
Yeah its much tighter now in AE, but someone savvy will indeed get you during the Hadou cancel. But With cl.MK being 3f startup instead of 5f its now a really tight frame trap after the fireball is blocked(+2 on block is so much more fun with a 3f move than a 4f one :D). The gap from cl.MK xx Hadou however is the same 4f gap on block it always was.
yeah i noticed he was thrown, I was thinking more do to it a bit and bait a reversal really… you know spam srk will come after a few hits in a lot of cases

^ i just saw this last night. good fight. and good use of demon flips to punish hadoukens, i wish i had that kind of timing. i fought my share of pros online and won but the second times i’ve come up against them, it’s like i’ve lost the second the match started.
The Problem was, that TAKIN´s playstyle was way to repetitive. Air could read him pretty fast but in the first round you could really see how unsure Air was against Gouken. He obviously doesnt have much expierence in this matchup. It was a really big chance for TAKIN to win this fight, but he didnt use it :(.
Today, i uploaded a new Video. Its against a solid Ryu-Player, who did some trouble-time in the beginning of our big set. Because of my huge mix ups, i succeeded to confuse my opponent. Its a good example how important the mindgame is and you will see some useful mixups.

Not even just repetitive, it was way to aggressive.
Watch the second and third rounds, Air just sits back with Ryu and does not jump, instead he just waits.
In the first round he threw fireballs and tried to play normal but Takin was so aggressive that he wasn’t reacting to fireballs, just that Air kept throwing them.
Look at the last round where air moves back to almost full screen and just waits for the flips…

He relys on the aggressive playstyle in this match for sure. But i think it isnt such a bad idea, since Air seems not to be that confident in this matchup. But the big issue was, that TAKIN always did it on the same way over and over (those many demonflips).

Yea, gouken cannot be played like this (effectively) against a player worth his salt. He played well the first round, maybe he was just feeling himself too much after that.

i’m being bitchy, and i am not implying that i think i’m better than you with gouken because i’m not, but i would like to see you play someone who doesn’t suck. if you want a ryu player that is decent play someone like doomdomainn [media=youtube]NSRxVNVqoiI[/media] or infexious, or any solid euro ryu. i have only used ryu to get the shining C achievement and i could probably beat that guy in the mirror. he isn’t solid
